Why not ? RaceRoom are introducing an online ranking and spanking system. What amazes me is the number of people now salivating over the idea of iRacing turning into a rally sim based on the idea that they can now time you! (Funny, I thought that was what the Time Trials already did!)
Agree. Time Trials was already there. It followed the season schedule and ranked by skill level division. The only change I see is that they removed the license requirement and safety rating. I do like there TT concept of average time of 5 consecutive clean laps vs. that one perfect lap.
I'll be picking up the Ford. It will be nice to have it to drive other than in Forza and modded versions that are ripped from Forza. I'm hopeful that someday either Ford will make a GT3 version of it or R3E will add an Endurance class (which I know is damn near impossible without having the Ferrari and Porsche license)
Yes, the ford is also a beast, I'm thinking to renew one month membership just to play with them , but Audi and Merc are coming to R3E,, my wallet is not that big
Windows 1.0! (Northern Accent) Luxury! I am running the Spanish version of MS-DOS. I can just about get Sopwith to run. And I'm grateful to have that.
As this is the iRacing thread, here's an iRacing car especially for you. It's not my work (I wish!). Find it on Trading Paints with more work by Ken Huff.
Had to try the Ferrari 488 GTE, so i took it a few laps around Brands Hatch. First impressions are that (even though i managed to stuff it up a few times) there is a lot of grip in the rear, but in default setup the car has a bit of understeer at turn in. It is pretty quick, and has good brakes. Recorded the first few laps with shadowplay:
If you have to ask, you can't afford them....especially with iRacing! " If you wish to buy additional cars, they cost a one-time fee of $11.95. If you want to buy additional tracks, they cost a one-time fee of either $11.95 or $14.95 depending on the track. We offer many volume discounts as well:" So, a lot, compared with Raceroom.
... but the have laser scanned cars and tracks! If R3E would also use this technology, I will be prepared to pay almost the same price. 1x car = 6 - 8 €, 1x track = 8 - 10 €
