Hmm that's annoying, I have (or had) my virtual mirror made smaller and shifted over to the top right where the real mirror would be. Hate having it central....
Have not driven in a while so I took a test drive in the Nissan. Ummm, it is a challenge. I also had some really strange glitches but I am going to wait and see if they are repeatable before reporting them. Maybe it is my system. I will try to put some time in this weekend. Seems like a nice update from what I have seen so far. Thanks.
Really like the new HUD, its much more modern looking and the customisation is great. Not had too much chance to test anything else out but had a few laps in the 1992 Opel DTM car, much improved to drive as are all the cars with the latest physics! Thanks for the update.
For the new version of the top bar, I recommend leaving the original position bar turned on, but instead, toggling its display (a separate key bind) so it hides it this way. This prevents the virtual mirror from moving up and obscuring the new bar, which happens when you toggle it off with "8". The option you want to use is "Toggle position bar settings" Not Toggle Position Bar. This should help, works a treat for me.
Well went from hardly caring about this update to massively looking forward to the new hud stuff after watching georgs stream and now i might even consider buying one of those group c cars Just a few questions tho. Did a run around bathurst and my lap time was displayed 0.001s slower on the new hud than on the old position bar. Am i right in assuming that in doubt the old bar would show the "official" time? Also i havent tried it yet myself but georgs stream got me wondering what the new hud delta refers to cuz there were huge difference between that and the in car delta. Is that intended or a bug? Aaand ive now come to the conclusion that i believe @Alex Hodgkinson when he says the gearing numbers for the r8 are accurate but for some reason every bop update changes how the gears seem. From 235 to 265 to now 245 kph in 5th gear for example which keeps slightly annoying me because none of those figures really match what you see on onboards of different series. But i seem to be rather alone with that problem.. Edit: while test driving the nissan and the 962 in the store i had a message saying this lap is invalid almost all of the time even when the lap was still valid
Unfortunately, the new HUD seems to have a jige impact on systems performance. I can't imagine, that it wasn't seen by the testers and @Georg Ortner in his stream.
When you restart a competition via keybind, the messages "This lap will not count" and "Next lap will not count" aren't being reset until you cross the line. There's a moving camera on the main straight in the new static camera set.
Ah, you're right, thanks! I knew that something was strange about the mirror's position anyway, this was it!
