Nope, but I placed my order for Aiologs. Dimitry is keen on installing a metal top plate instead of acrylic for an extra 5 usd which is great. Just my preference. The device looks great either way but I am more like all for metal .
I have a triple screen setup from simlab. I now use a good way to mount my keyboard. I want a movable arm. Anybody a good solution for this?
What @Ablaze showed. Or like a solution I used because with all the 'peripherals' on my SimLab P1 it was not easy to use that SimLab tray: An old Vögel TV arm, on which I replaced the TV plate with a keyboard tray I had from my earlier RaceRoom 2000 rig: My rig is placed in a corner of the room and being next to a wall gave me the possibility.
Thanks.. Same over here, The simlab poles are a bit thick to attache an arm to. So perhaps your solution is not that bad indeed.
@Fanapryde is the tray stable enough to provide ability of playing other games/surfing/working with a keyboard that way? I'd really want my future cockpit to be a kind of hybrid
Iirc the platform was tested to hold +50kgs. Like it is now (with the smaller swivel point for the keyboard tray that replaced the one for the TV plate) I would not put 50 kgs on it, but is surely steady enough for all normal keyboard purposes. Maybe if slamming the KB in rage, it would move...
RIG UPDATE: Simworx seq pro shifter is now installed and the placement of the mouse and mini keyboard is perfect and very comfortable for long hours of use if needed. Since I don't type much on my rig, the keyboard will be used only for some quick functions.
@Turtle Power The shifter is so nice! Really fits to the rest of your gear. Just a thought, couldn't the Aiologs Sequential Shifter that you've previously sold been mounted in a similar position?
Thanks buddy. I would have to spend lots of money on extra extrusion profiles, brackets etc in order to mount Aiologs in a similar position... and it would have to be raised a lot higher which would lead to other issues. I've used my last remaining extrusion profiles and brackets to mount SImworx shifter and it worked out well. The original plan was to mount Aiologs on the left side (close to the wheel) but it was sitting too high and was blocking the button box. In order to keep everything sturdy, you must use a few brackets and they are not cheap at all.
Talking of seq. shifters... Just finished my 50€ fly-off handbrake mod to have my own shifter right now. This project was startet just to try out how it feels to drive with a seq. shifter before i spend hundreds of € for a better one. Made from a 35€ ebay china fly-off handbrake, two microswitches, two springs (ebay), hot glue, screws and washers, grip tape for the handle, some cable and a GX16 aviation plug to conect it to my T300. 3 ours of work and fun to drive! I'm a big fan of DIY. I used a shifter out of a BMW car for my sequential. Currently have it wired to my button box. Can you share how you wired yours to the t300? I know there are two spare wires behind the front plate but I haven't investigated further.....
This used to be a handbrake, but i made a shifter out of it. No problem. Let me do some fotos first...
The handbrake looks very solid. I love sim gear made of metal and minimal or none plastic. I presume it has a pot aor some sort of analog sensor inside.
Thanks. I see a micro switch good for sequential on/ off. The handbrake would require analog connections like hall sensor or 10K pot.
There is a microswitch on the right for downshift and a microswitch left for upshifts. No hall sensors or analog switches, nothing. Just upshift and downshift, no handbrake function anymore. The big washer you see is just to limit the way you can move the gear lever.
