look right here: https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/what-tracks-do-you-want-in-rre.448/ !!! R3E needs a huge US-Tracks Pack! Now we have: - Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Road Course) - Laguna Seca Raceway / Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca - Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course - Sonoma Raceway / Infineon Raceway / Sears Point Raceway Still missing for that: - Daytona International Speedway (Road Course) - Lime Rock Park - Road America - Road Atlanta - Sebring International Raceway - Virginia International Raceway - Watkins Glen International
Personally dont find that topic and the options very clear I can only add 3 options though from your wishes..
Clermont-Ferrand http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/08/the-volcanic-rush-of-clermont-ferrand/ Lime rock park http://www.limerock.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=58&Itemid=54 Circuit de Monaco
Even if i would like to see Le Mans, Interlagos or Brno as well, but my Top 3 of "would love to have tracks" are: Watkins Glen International (a.k.a. The Glen) Potrero de los Funes (or San Luis) Mosport Park (now 'Canadian Tire Motorsport Park')
1: Brands GP 2: Potrero de los Funes - Would be incredible! 3: Daytona road course I would have said Le Mans but R3E doesn't have the cars for it (high downforce LMP machines) yet!
I hope Sector 3 stick to signing tracks that are not in other sims. This is a major part of the appeal of the sim. I have all the road circuits in iracing plus i play RF2 and Assetto Corsa already and i find the repetition of circuits like Lime Rock Park a bit boring tbh. I think if Sector 3 sign too many circuits that are in other sims already it weakens their position in the market. There is a hole in the market for a sim that has some really good street circuits. Sector 3 have proved they can do them well with the recent Macau release and none of the other competitors in the market seem interested in doing them. So how about the Vila Real street circuit that the WTCC went to a few weeks ago, or Pau in France. For permanent circuits there are plenty of popular great tracks that don't exist in other sims. So how about more circuits like Assen, Brno, Magny Cours and Misano. Or maybe Valencia or the Losail circuit at Qatar, which would also open the opportunity nicely to add night racing to the sim.
That aspect has two sides. For sure - Tracks that aren't available in any other Sim are always a plus, as long it is a Track that is known by a wider community - Tracks that nobody knows, aren't an interessting buy for the most and so the Return of Invest is harder to achieve. But missing a Track, that is world wide known and famous can cost alot. Nordschleife and Le Mans are two typical examples. Just with presenting those Tracks you'll got massively more attention world wide.
But le mans and the nordschleife are very difficult, long tracks that don't get boring. as jayblue said tracks like monza have gotten seriously stale because they are fairly simple and quite short and are in a ton of games. Playing monza in race 07 vs assetto corca their is very little difference because the track is flat smooth and simple. Don't get me wrong irl monza is a fantastic track due to the incredible history behind it but its in enough games at this point.
There is the prototype series which are high downforce LMP machines based on older prototypes foor looks and sounds.. There is the LMP2 Radical SR-9 AER and Judd.. And plenty GT2/GT3 to train for higher classes as those above I believe you are missing some cars.. @jayblue Only 3 tracks please.. Some tracks you just have to have in every game i feel..
ok, here are my top three missing tracks: 1. Daytona International Speedway (Road Course) 2. Road America 3. Watkins Glen International
Without bias the most unique tracks they should add are: Thruxton Oulton Park Knockhill All 3 would add something quite different to the other tracks already on offer.
Just to make a comment on the discussion a few posts ago.... I think Sector3 are doing a great job with their track selection so far. Sure, it's not going to please everybody but R3E's track list is very relevant to the series and car content provided. Calling for lesser known, lesser seen regional race tracks is fine, but there's a good reason why the likes of Silverstone, Monza, Hockenheim and Spa appear in many racing games. They are popular venues used by many real world racing series, therefore relevant.
Haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if it has been mentioned yet, but after also seeing the world map with the available tracks, I think should have an african track. So my request is for Kyalami in RSA.
