Hi folks. I uploaded my summary of the last Season-Event (Abgefahren!-Community Formula 4). Thanks for watching.
;-) yes we certainly do. The lakeview challenge however, is a series similar to Jimmy B's Nordschleife challenge - the main here however, aim to be as high as possible on the leaderboard. Sometimes this takes 10's of attempts. In the case of the judds, hundreds! ;-)
Whilst this is an absolutely stonkingly fast time, it does show the very clear difference between those that have and can and those that don't and cannot. I'm not talking about racecraft here, I'm talking about setup. Around Macu - setup is everything. I'd like to see these races on default. See how you get on then? Just a thought..............
If you're fast, you're fast of course - not taking that away from anybody but, the setup 'skill' which is somewhat of witchcraft to most is a variable which has a great effect. There is a reason why SRS races are default setups - it removes a variable that is reliant on setup knowledge and allows you to know for fact, that your car, is the same as that guy who is 10 seconds faster than you. Video posts now resume.......................
The problem is that most of the default setups on old cars are bad, the default setups on all the newest physics (GTR1 rework and on) are great and can easily be used for fixed setup races. But even with a good default setup, there will always be differences in driving styles/preferences, so if someone wins in a fixed setup competition, that doesn't necessarily make them the best driver.
Macau is an interesting racing circuit - personally, i think a bit of a misnomer. Set a quick qualifying time, get a good start and then to be frank.......... stay on the grey stuff - follow my leader i think........... Stream starts at 3:57. AI at 100. Further details on our youtube page.
