nothing but the posted log files ... nothing in windows event logs could be a server crash as someone had written in a chat, that he was affected too in the same race with me @FeltHλt
i think you would simply go back to mp menu there are also two other possibilities i can think of without crash message: -driver crash (but would probably a trace in event viewer) -steam related crash, either steam going offline or steam controller related (i had issue few times where, if i plugged my wheel more than once, after some time steam crashed and raceroom along, rly strange)
no, the game was totally frozen, windows could only be shutdown via start-button, all other applications could not be brought to foreground - incl. taskmanager, the ingame "alt-F4" escape sequence to OS also doesn't quit the game @FeltHλt
@needlessfox can you try unplugging unecessary controller devices, see if it still happens? The game log file you supplied doesn't look like the correct one as it has no multiplayer activity logged. Check the filename, it has a timestamp in yyyymmdd format that should help find the right one.
it is a 100% save, that it happend in a multiplayer Race ... @J-F Chardon @FeltHλt That was the Race it happend (28/01/2024 - 22:12::21): The Race Details show, that no one could have done more then a few Laps, because i was 4th as the game got frozen, with some lapsto go. The Racer "Samuel Donn" reportet to me in later race chat, that his game crashed too the same Lap. Looks like everybody was affected, in any other way i couldn't had finished as 3rd, 4th for Donn also not possible:
I'm sure u will find some irregular values, that leads to a client-side overflow in a client-side calculation, from two ore more submitted values to the client ... may be belonging to the forcefeedback algorithm - one of the last things changed by update (that feels really got to me, driving with my old G27)
Yes, but what I meant was the file you attached in the OP doesn't appear to be from that particular gameplay session.
i got u, but the timestamps in the log filenames are matching to the multiplayer endtime - don't they? There are no more logs in the logs folder for that timewindow - i wonder, why there is no crash dmp file in the crashfiles folder?
There was no crash, from what you described: Also, I think I had a similar problem a couple times not only in Raceroom, but in a different game, not even a sim (so my wheel wasn't plugged in). The game froze and I couldn't bring anything to the screen, could only took a peak at other programs by holding Alt and pressing Tab. Although Alt-Ctrl-Del worked, so I didn't need the button on my PC.
I'm sure it was a server initiated issue, because the Race endtime matches the timestamp of the logfiles - the Race ended because of the server crash/sending something wrong to the clients ... the race wasn't over, there was much time left ...
Ich hatte im selben Rennen das gleiche Problem. Das Spiel konnte nur über den Taskmanager beendet werden.
I have the Same Problem. Online Liga. bRC-Racing Community 03.02.2024. The Game crash with no Error Output. The Window closes and nothing more. No Log-File was written. Raceroom is the last Game, what I want to play in the Feature. I drive in a Liga and the Time what I spend to drive fast are more then 15 hours. On our Online Server. Sometimes it crashes it after 10 Minutes. Sometimes after 30 Minutes. Sometimes after 1 Hour. But I see no Bug. In other Simulations like AC, ACC, AMS2 or iRacing I never get an Crash...... Why KW Studios Why?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
