Been spending a lot of time with the cup car and I do really like the update, but I'm definitely spinning out more than I ever have. I can't figure out if its driveline lash/off throttle or just an abrupt release of brakes in off-camber turns, but it's definitely coming around more. Maybe I just need to tweak the stock setup. Great car though. Drives really well and you can do a decent job of balancing it mid-corner on the brakes now.
What does resurfacing the Red Bull Ring mean? Is it just a different, updated mesh? Higher resolution or laser scanned?
I had a race with them a minute ago, and I think junior DTM is the best description. They don't feel particually powerfull, but still stiff and glued to the tarmac. Also now, very stable under braking and very easy to turn in with little bit of trail braking. I would say they are a very good introductory free car.
hi guys, just a question, after the kasta update i cannot see anymore how much will the race last. I mean after the qualify in menù just lateral to race the number is alwais 00:00 no more 10 or 15 or 20 mins. I also noticed some problems with fanaled, anyone has the same problem?!?
Yes, that is so true! No ABS is really tricky. But is so nice implemented in R3E. Under heavy breaking, you feel the front tires slowly locking up the less speed you have, or you feel the rear to start slowly stepping out. So you have to modulate the brake pedal. This is really great. In my opinion R3E has one of the best physics AND force feedback now. Every one who has played it from the beginning, will feel the difference. Some years ago it was more meh, but now it's fantastic and fun to drive. Keep up the good work!
Normally I receive every RRE Update with deep gratitude BUT this time me and my pals are burning for the long awaited DTM92 physics update (also G5 and the rest of the best). As for now you'll will have some holidays (I suppose), maybe a few remarks on what we can expect and when ? @Thomas Jansen (while you're around) or @J-F Chardon
He's an annoying nobody that talks trash on sim racing websites in their comment sections. Here's an example. In an older post he talks about how bullshit the Flat6 mod for rF2 is: And then we have this nice conversation between him and Alex. This is golden: There are sometimes news on bsimracing.com where noone commented yet and then he chimes in and talks about how the steering wheel which was featured in the arcticle doesn't fit on his AccuForce: I mean who the f cares? To whom is he talking there?
Will we have a hotfix for the broken ai soon as well? (as discussed earlier in the thread) Hope it will revert back to how it was before the latest update.
We're currently testing some AI fixes and so far they look much better, less erratic. If we don't find any major issues, I would assume those fixes shall be with you soon.
I get those weird reflections of the air vents and sometimes even the display when driving the RS3 during sunset (tested on the Nürburgring and Spa)
Today i drove again the 911 Cup on NOS leaderboard, did around 10 laps. I got used to it and love it. I think now i got slowly an idea of what the car is capable of. After NOS i decided to throw that beast around bathrust. Sadly i experienced the same issue i described on Red Bull Ring, some pages before. But now that i knowing the car better, i think it is more a FFB issue, its like it is oversensitive. All in all i think that the car behaves still reasonable but in the ffb i got the constand feel of being over the limit. Uphill i dont feel what the front i doing (only bumps) and i got the feeling that the rear will constantly swing around, its a bit like the boaty feel from the early R3E days. Yes the car is beasty but more on lift of and not on throttle. In the downhillsection i didnt crash at all, but like i said uphill is horror.
