the gearbox is too long, the 7th gear is useless, sometimes you cannot put the 6th gear Invia commenti
In GT3 cars, the 6th gear often is useless It's always the same with these fixed gearboxes in racing...
These cars have fixed ratios as per manufacturer spec. 7th gear isn't used for racing. 6th only on some tracks.
Which makes me wonder what the manufacturer has in mind when he design a 7th, is it for German's few not speed limited highways or what?
They care about the environment and 7th gear is eco mode I guess the seven speed twin clutch DCT unit when in auto mode will up shift sooner and then you will need the seven gears.
Pretty normal for cruising on public roads (each car) to save fuel and have less vibrations and noise in the car.
Oh ok, I would have thought 6th would have done the cruising job given the speed on a regular road, my last car was in the 2000's , and those was pretty regular when I was born
First time of my "career" in front of @Beastux I did a race online ranked yesterday and was motivated to test the car in Imola for a few laps right now. In front of Denis means like have been knighted (even if it's a short pleasure )
GT4 cars are almost raceready streetcars, to make them cheaper they share many parts (gears, engine etc) with the normal streetcars.Thats why they have sometimes even the 7th gear.
