    Hosted? ( Amazon etc.)
Home PC? What spec would you recommend?
If anyone has tips or suggestions that would be great.
I've tried Amazon ECS with AC and it worked fine, but have finished my free year.....
I can build a cheap box easy enough.
For home PC,what would you suggest for RAM and upload speed? Possibly 10/12 club racers based in Australia.

dual/quad core should do just fine.
4gig ram is pretty much basic in this day and age. Its quite a light application.
Where the issue occurs is with your upload speed. I wouldn't do it under 5mb/s upload but it also depends on where the other people are from.
From personal experience i would use Windows 8.1/10 and not win7 ( it should work fine on win7 but i had issue's )

you live in Australia? us rraunz boys have never managed to get a server working well in au or nz thanks to our internet. if u live in Sydney it'll should be fine but don't even bother if your in WA or somewhere else with low speeds. for aussies its best to host in America or Sydney.

More is always better but i am sure 2.5 will do fine. If everyone is around you wont get much warping.

R3E dedicated is very light weight and doesn't need lot of horse power.

I run it in a Hyper-V R2 VM (win2012 R2 guest, a win8/10 will work as well) with 2 cores and 2GB of RAM allocated and everything is fine :)
The main point is your internet connectivity. Mine is 100/10, witch is far enough (as long as I don't fill it with other services). My ping is around 20-30, the lower is better, but thanks to the P2P system in R3E, you don't need un ultra low ping so that all players can play in good conditions.

I host 3 permanent R3E dedi and 1 for special event.
