Many of you have been asking for it, and now you will be able to take the first Openwheeler out on track in R3E! Quite a lot of work went into this car as it features the new driver model as well as animated suspension and of course the new physics approach, which makes it a lot of fun on track. Get the Formula RaceRoom 2 pack now in the R3E Store. The FR2 is a high downforce vehicle, capable of generating up to 1.7 ton of pressure at full speed. This makes it a very precise, very fast and quite easy car to race at high speeds, but it also makes it a challenge for anyone to handle right at the limit. Smooth, precise and determined is how to bring this one to the top of the leaderboards. With 24 open wheel racers built to the same spec, it is all down to the driver in this car class. There are no shortcuts or magic tricks to podium finishes in the Formula RaceRoom 2, just skill, practise and talent. By purchasing the Formula RaceRoom 2 pack you get a full grid of 22 unique liveries to make any FR2 race a spectacle. The FR 2 will be released very soon! Stay tuned!
Nice cars, looking forward to get one of those. But i'm a bit disappointed about the onboard sounds though. I had high hopes to hear a V12 oder V10 made by your genius sound creator something like this: So what kind of engine do these FR2 cars have and are there plans to bring a FR1 with other engines? cheers and keep racing
nah not even close when i compare it to this: but hey, i don't wanna complain too much. Driving them will still be much fun
I think they are more based of these. and they sound very similar if not better so id say @Anthony Monteil did a good job if thats what he was aiming for.
Can you choose between different tire compounds (super soft, soft, medium and hard)? And also, again, when can we finally expect custom liveries? Promoting your team and sponsors in leagues is pretty much impossible in RaceRoom, making it significantly less attractive. Yeah as Shardshunt said the FR2 is pretty much a GP2 car.
different Tire compounds are still WIP - so I guess we can expect tham in future but not for this release. Custom Liveries where Mentioned in the RD-Interview. They seems to be in an early dev-state and looks like a difficult task to implement - but they are working on it. There is a new HUD coming - I hope we will get some of the informations with the new hud.
It's a V8, but not as powerful as the F1 V8's. Let me assure you, you won't be disappointed sound-wise. The video doesn't carry over how it actually sounds, at least on my setup. Sounds much more aggressive and high pitched...maybe it's just me torturing the car a little more than Georg.
