Problem Game crashes without error message.

Hi all,
since the last multiplayer ranking bug was solved I have game crashes during multiplayer races. Sometimes in training, somtimes in quali or the race itself. This happens every 2. or 3. race on differnt tracks with different car classes. There is no error message or pop window with error code. Just closing RRE window and throw you back to desktop.
For that reason I everytime loose reputation for quitting.
Anybody else with this problem? Any solution?

Same here. It crashes when sessions change from Training to qualifying, from qualifying to race.
No error, no pop-up, just straight to the desktop. I play in VR.

 

Same today again. One multiplayer breaks in quali, another one within the race. Lost again 8% reputation. So at all 15% in 3 races lost. And if you drive fair and clean you only get up to 1% per race. Ridiculous.
RRE in the meanwhile goes to try and error races.

Not amused.

 

I have the same issue, mine has just crashed in multiplayer practice, the other night it was during a race.
It crashed to desktop, no crash dump saved.
I play AC/ACC without any issues.
I have the latest GPU drivers.
I have done a full reinstall of the game.

 

any new investigations or solutions? Something wrong with the netcode since last update?

guys this is getting boring. whwnever i press the esc button to i.e. going back to the garage, the game crashes.
i am never able to save a setup. stop the car, press escape and crahs.
I have no issues with any vr game (acc, ets, etc.).
Please fix this, for me this is unplayable.

 

Last two days every second multiplayer race quits to the desktop. No error message, no crash dump or other hints.
Single player works for hours. Multiplayer crashes.

No change of PC configuration. All drivers up to date.

Can someone please investigate this f....... bug and give us please a patch to solve this. Multiplayer is unplayable.
And you are losing reputation. So you in the meanwhile only rookie is free to play for me. That's bullshit.

I am down from 95% to under 76%

So I did some more investigation on this issue. I saw a hint in the other CRASH thread where the user mentioned whats happening with another game controller instead of Fanatec. I'm using a Fanatec wheel and did a deeper look to the behaviour.

Here are the results (just wheel on without any games running):
1. I recognized that the wheel tries to center itself when turning left or right
2. It feels a little stiff turning to both sides

So I decided to install the same Fanatec drivers again over the existing one. Afterwards the described behaviour from above was gone. Wheels felt smooth again and stayed in desired positions after turning left/ right.
I then tried several multiplayer sessions a whole day long. No undefined crashes to the desktop.
Next day I installed the new version of Fanatec driver (I didn't want that before because it was not stable) and checked online multiplayer again.

Worked also without and game crashes.

So my suggestion is that there maybe are some dependencies between updates of RRE multiplayers/ netcode with Fanatec drivers (maybe other vendors too) which leads to undefined driver files/ controller profiles or states.

Maybe that could be help others to solve there crashes or the developer team to find a bug in the code.

 

yesterday a new driver for nvidia was installed. After that it worked fine for me until the server problems. Have to try today again.

 

very disappointing result after the 1st round of the ranked championship.
Game crash without a single error message. pc just goes back to desktop, and the game is completely shut down.
as a result I now have -14,364 rating and -7,013 reputation.
this is very frustrating and unfair. the fun wears off quickly this way.

 

Did you read the above mentioned hints? Wahts about your graphic drivers? Do you use an Fanatec Wheel?

play with wheel and wheelbase from fanatec.(podium dd wheelbase)

 

1. OK check that the newest graphic drivers are installed
2. Reinstall the newest official Fanatec drivers for you wheel

Thank you very much. will try tonight. haven't updated my fanatec wheel in a while because after the update I kept losing my key bindings in game

 

after three days where all was fine, the crashes started again today.

 

new drivers installed for the fanatec steering wheel.

After playing raceroom for a full week (4/5 races every day) the problems seem to be solved.

I want to thank everyone who helped to fix these problems.

I return to the topic.
I've been kicked off the official servers for a few days, I'm only switched to the capo's camera and kicked off the server.

And in practical mode, offline, when I take three or four curves the image freezes, and it doesn't let me touch anything on the PC.
I have to manually reboot.

What's going on?

 

I have to say that it is only the image, because the sound and the steering wheel continue ..
