ok so i'm cpu limited. I will change next month . But tomorow i have a race and it's not smooth with many cars on track So what can i do to increase fps ? because very high or low graphic does'nt change a lot. thk !
Hey Guys, I have trouble with the replays as well. My System is pretty highend (Ryzen 7 @4 GHZ + GTX 1080 @ 2,1 Ghz). So the game is showing me while gaming good FPS but in replay it drops nearly to 10 FPS. I don't know why but it is weired. I changed the resolution what makes it just a bit better (20 FPS) but still horroble to watch for Youtube Vids. To lower the graphic quality didn't change much. Some "Race Mates" dont have the problem (with the same replay files) and they have much weaker systems than I have. It would be great to know a way how I can fix it. One time the replay was showing up 150 FPS average, but it was lagging when u watched it. Maybe the frametimes are not stable? regards Rooooney
I'd kill for your system, will have to make do with my own for now though. Will see if I can reproduce your issue. Can you tell me what sessions settings you were using, MP, single player, number of cars etc?
Also, attach the replay file in a reply here so we can have a look at it too. In fact, a couple of different replay files would be optimal!
@D.Boon haha thanks: I was coming from a intel 2600k / AMD 280X so .... did save a while some money for this upgrade^^. @Kitsune: Good Idea, I will upload my file, when I am back from work (4 more hours to go). Then we have a 1:1 comparison. Thanks for the showing up yourself to help!
Here is the Replay File - I have to load it to my googledrive, because it was to large for this Forum (139MB). Also when i zipped it, it was still over 40 MB. (the forum allows me to upload max 21MB) Download Link for replay example. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3tk23I8N3phcExJZnZaeGpmQmc Hope you can help to find the issue and solve it. regards Rooooney
Still no one has a idea? I reinstalled the game and made some tests. The short replays (15 min race) runs absolutely smooth. The 55 min races I want to use for youtube, are stuttering a lot. There is no noticeable bottleneck in RAM /CPU or GPU :-/ Also the SSD where the replay is stored, is not in use at all hmmm It really seams like the lenght of a race are producing this issue :-(
Shit! I forgot about this. D: I just tried the replay and well, just as for everyone except you it works fine for me... Poking the programmers now, hoping they can shed some light on this.
Turns out one of the programmers has almost identical PC specs and also suffers from this low framerate! That makes it a lot more easy to solve. Hopefully.
Oh really? Okay good to know I'm not crazy ^^. Is he also using Windows 10? If not, we can delete it from the list to check
Unoptimal code seems to be the culprit. Why it only affected certain systems is beyond me but hey, it's fixed so let's hope next patch comes Soon™.
Is there a date, when the next update will come to fix the replay bug? Unfortunatelly it takes super long to implement the upgrade to fix "my" problem. :-/
We're aiming at the end of October, which can be translated to Soon™. As always, if something goes to shit for whatever reason this might be delayed, but I'm pretty hopeful we'll get this patch out before November. Or early November.
