both default and voice reg. do i simply add to RRRE folder? And under what file?

 

just any folder on your computer you want. Or simply use the default folder it suggests when you install it.

 

and it launches the app auto? when i launch the sim?
i kno its not rocket science but i am new to modding this sim in particular. assetto corsa is bit different and thats what i am used to.

 

It's not a mod in the traditional sense, but more an application that will run in addition to the game. So it's not directly connected to the games file structure.
So just install it, use the default directory.
It won't start automatically when you launch the game, but you can make CC start the game (in the programs options).

 

The download is for a .msi installer. Run this and just accept the defaults, which installs the app into Program Files and adds a shortcut to the windows start menu. It makes no other changes to your system and installs no other random crap.

This is enough to run the standard Crew Chief application - launch it and go to the Properties screen and enable the "sweary_messages" option (this is really important). Then press ok to go back to the main screen . Then press each of the three green download buttons and it will fetch all the sound files it needs. Once that's done it'll prompt you to restart the app. The choose the right game from the menu in the top right-hand corner, press "Start application" and launch the game. Bish bosh.

The speech recognition requires 2 additional installs - the runtime and the correct language pack. The readme has the details

I have a tiny feature suggestion: in most community races we do manual formation laps. (often even with reordering to a reverse grid.)
Therefore crew chief gives much output which diesn't make sense.
It would be nice if the crew chief gets that situation and keeps quiet in this 'first' lap. A check for full throttle in the first seconds should be sufficcient I guess.

 

You can assign a key to make crewchief quiet and turn him back on when the race starts.

Just read the last four pages, so my apologies if this minor but a lill annoying bug was already reported: Your fantastic CC announces the opening and the closing of the pit, if a mandatory pit stop is activated, a minute too early, at least at AC. In R3E it seems to be correct.
Was DQed two weeks ago because I was just listening what CC said, and entered the pit b4 it was opened.

Here is a lill proof with a practice race we've had yesterday. Pit windows was open in the middle-third, but CC told me after 17 minutes, Pit Window will be open in two minutes. One minute too early.



And since I'm already writing, a couple of my fellow german racers liked to have their names added:

The AC pit window stuff has been broken and fixed a couple of times. I *think* the data sent by the game is inconsistent in some cases. I'll check with Morten (Sparten) who is doing all the AC stuff
