Yep, thanks mate. To get into the settings I had to re-download onedrive as yesterday it was uninstalled. Strange the game still saves there as it must have some default offline visibly setting. However I selected the block all folders button at the top but there are some folders that cannot be deselected, esp the documents folder where RR saves logs to.
can you post your full system specs cpu/gpu/ram ; please mention any overclocks xmp etc ; also everything your running while playing game Thanks Andi
Hopefully the attached will help. i have nothing else running apart from steam, rre, occulus + debug tool. (plus whilst trouble shooting edge and email occasionally) Quite a lot of info on the thread too regarding what we have been doing to solve. I have the MSI motherboard and it has an auto overclocking function through the bios. I've noticed this does not make any difference on crashing if on/off. Can post pic if needed
i see two xmp profiles there are you using them ? if so can you try just running default clocks on the ram Andi
seems like a online issue, single player is being very stable and pressing ESC does not cause the game to crash like it does online
Update to help anyone with the same/similar issue Firstly a thanks to you both to spend time trying to help resolve. I obviously was getting increasingly frustrated with nothing attempted working! So I gave in and reset windows inc cleaning drives! After overnight install then spending the day installing drivers. The most likely cause of what was crashing the game was either a corrupt/faulty windows install/update. It could have also been the keyboard (which I replaced as the new windows install couldn't detect the old one, or the Logitech DFGT wheel where the drivers may not have been compatible with win 11. Regardless, I'm now 4 ranked races in and no crashes since problem solving the 3 areas above. Looking forward to spending some better hours in game!!!
Ok. So further to this the game has started playing up again. When driving on track, at random points the view just switches to on the nose (in VR) then after 5-10 sec the game kicks me out to the multiplayer select room screen! No crash log notification. I've tried downloading again, verifying, osing Occulus + OC then Occulus + SteamVR, clean graphics driver install. Installed win 11 logitech profiler rather than the win10 DFGT software. Nothing helped! Anyone got any ideas?
Assuming you mean internet issue by 'disconnect'. I have ethernet to hub rather than using wifi. Is there anyway to check this? Other online programmes do not seem to have issue. For example Youtube!
