it would be rude for me to say "bring out the GT3-R!" right? Just out of interest, will this fit into the GTR2 class in game or will it be in a different class? Interested to see how it stacks up against other cars and classes, but I honestly can't say I'm as interested in this one as the GT3 version. Also wondering how you're going about the liveries for this one? Are you using the ones from the Spa demo race?
I actually prefer GTR2 cars more than any other. Great balance between power and handling. Also probably best FFB so far. Good question whether this new Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport will be in GTR2 class. I presume yes
Somebody linked a video somewhere that compared this car to a cup car around road america. Leh keen (who i dont know but seems to (have?) race(d) in imsa) did a 2:08. Compared to the gtd(so basically gt3) pole this year thats around 3-3.5 seconds slower. Now i dont drive the gt2 class in r3e much but as long as theyre at least as fast as the gt3s (which i would think they are) this porsche would not fit into the gt2 class (also regarding abs)
Speaking from the real World, that car won't fit in the GTR2-Class. The Idea behind that GT2 is more clubsport-oriented. It is a complete new series which will be held by SRO. Beside that Porsche I only know a new Audi R8 which fit in this series...
If there are some nice liveries then i might once again fall in love with a car that i hadnt even heard about before
Aye, I know the real one is a bit of an outlier (although forgot there was an Audi, and apparently two [?] more coming next year), but thinking the GTR2s we have should be a bit slower than the GT3s we have (not sure if they are or not), so it may fit in OK. That said, the GT3s spread a wide range, so aren't really as different as the real life versions are (eg in game, the Mustang isn't necessarily slower than the BMW M6). Probably making speed in very different ways though.
Always look forward to new, as well as the improved existing content from the very talented team at Sector3. The amount of Porsche content is intriguing and I have grown to have a deep appreciation for it, that coming from a lifelong Corvette fan. My question if the new releases are to be included in an existing class that also contain a Porsche model perhaps an explanation of why the overlap? edit: my understanding of race cars goes about as far as they use to have a stick for shifting and now have paddles, so please excuse my ignorance if the answer is obvious to most.
Awesome car and I hope for that it´s good driveable like a GT3. At Spa the GT2 RS are 4 seconds slower than GT3 in real live, because the car have less aerodynamic and small tires.
^^ Yes there are no crashes at the promotion races in Spa only fair racing . 200 cars to buy or if you damage the car it wouldn´t be repared .
Never go full Iracing, pls Just managed to get around with the GT3 cup and now that beast. Good for the learning curve i think. Next step 934/5
No, because this is an all new GT2 category established by SRO. Think of it like GT4 with loads of horsepower... that was the initial idea behind the class. The only real competitors for the GT2 RS would be the R8 GT2 and maybe the new Moby Dick... which raced it at Spa last year.
