It can be both. And since you can mitigate it with setup changes, particularily within differential settings, it is both.

 

Since I don´t own the car I can´t do setup work at Suzuka to see if it makes a difference. Reducing throttle sensitivity to between 35-40% does definitely help driveability even if it will still want to break traction at the 2 slower points on the track and I took a second off my personal best time.

 

Will setup options be the same as in the Leaderboard of this event? @CaptainCoffee

Tyre choice will be available. MGU settings should be fixed.

 

sadly I only have a keyboard I'm counting on assists specially for sliding i press the throthel botton and it goes full and keeps on spinning out , also the braking i need to break much before normal breaking points so I wont go off track , and small mistakes on keyboard like smaal coreections and stuff have too much of a big impact , with all that i got 5th o the amateurs list with 1:37:950

 

Try reducing throttle sensitivity to 35%, Brake pressure in car setup to 85 and steering sensitivity to 25% or less and try without assists. With those I was faster than with assists on although still have to be careful on acceleration. The ghost lap guy is short shifting very early through the gears so that could help too.

 

Just as interesting is how the brakes are being applied.

 

In fact so interesting that f1 never releases the data for it
Unfortunately the graphics only show the brake as an on/off switch which of course isnt how the cars are actually being driven

I actually have those settings uplied but when i try without assist in most corners the car spins out , in other hand the braking goes well
