On the page setting the event details (AI difficulty, Number of opponents, Time of day etc), is the Time Multiplier setting (0x, 1x, 2x etc)
Did the game integrity check then followed a discord advice to launch RRE in 64bit rather than steamvr and it was getting much better Then I applied the opencomposite hack from the OP and bingo, rocksolid 90fps with high graphics setting My 5800x3d and 6800xt loving this Game again Perfectly on time for the free content open week!
I was under the impression that OpenComposite does not work since a couple of years for Raceroom, I haven't been able to get it to work myself either. Which version did you use?
I just followed the "how to install" section of the OP on this thread. Not using generic Opencomposite but the specific dll file and edited it as per the instructions. the key for me and again thanks to RRE discord for that, is to launch the Game in RRE 64bit but certainly not Steamvr 64bit mode as it will give me really bad performance
I cant get the game to launch in VR, ( Quest 2 link cable ) i have a 6900xt gpu i have attached a dump file if that helps. Any help would be appreciated
anyone get this game to run with OpenXR? would love to be able to just pick openxr from steam launch menu.
Have you tried the method i explainedin posts just above? This has been working great for me although not very intuitive for sure
took advantage of Amazon prime day to buy a 4070 as I heard lot of people suggesting NVIDIA is better than AMD in VR so I could try and return the card if I don't find it conclusive for my set-up and usage. Since I had been now running a 6950XT, RRE run a butter smooth 90fps at High resolution in quasi all conditions. This is with the opencomposite hack I mentioned in my posts above Now the difference with the 4070 GPU. This is extremely good, I got a smooth 90fps as well but Perf headroom increased from 30 to 60%.The Game runs through Opencomposite hack (openvr.dll and opencompsite.ini files created and saved in Game folder), really that's a big improvement
I tried the OpenComposite from the Iron Wolf but unfortunately it works badly with the new UI, some screens won't open. And no way to use OpenXR with Raceroom so I have to use SteamVR with my Oculus...
screens such as the settings (where to modify your video, controller, ...) or the car setup when you are on a track...
Did a couple of hours this weekend and no problem at my end I had an AMD GPU and now testing a NVIDIA card and all works fine including menus actually the NVIDIA GPU gives me better performance in this particular Game
Hi nolive721 can you explain how to launch the game in RRE 64bit but not the steam 64 bit version, please
Hello Just look up few posts above I simply use the Option when it appears from the steam PLAY button I dont launch the Game via Steamvr
In addition you need to have -vr 1.5 in the launch parameters to upscale the rendering resolution With my hardware i can even lush higher to 2.0
Do you mean that you click the "Play Raceroom (64-bit)" or the "Launch Raceroom (64-bit) in Steam VR Mode" button? If I hit the "Raceroom (64-bit)" button it just launches in flat screen but if I hit the "Launch Raceroom (64-bit) in Steam VR Mode" it launches in VR but Steam VR doesn't launch.
