Wow! That's looks pretty great ! Didn't expected that Flags system will also come with mandatory rules and penalties associated (usually it's only a matter of display the flags). I'de like to know how the Blue Flags trigger: Is it when a car is X seconds behind ? or X meters ? Does the game use the speed difference What happens is the fastest car trigger the BF but do a mistake before it can overlap ? Is the 10s counter reset ?
This is great. But my advice is to add a large configurability also in the server side for flags and rules. At the moment i have that to use the wrecker prevention correctly i had to set the black flag rules in the server, and it is translated into a black flag for a wrong speed in the pit lane.
Blue flag shows if you have a car of a faster class in your back. Also shows if you have a guy lapping you. It triggers based on distance / time delta. And if the car behind gets beyond that limit, the timer resets.
This is above and beyond what i was expecting...ir perhaps secretly hoping for but not expecting...fantastic. The logic must be solid if you have implemented penalties along side...awesome!!
Can we have a competition for who sees the most blue flags, please? I think I have good chances to finally win something, too.
Better have a new level. Those who want to play with cars on carpet can do outside it. But those who want realism so do not get in this game! 1- damage the car very badly done, No parts of the car windscreen does not break, is that Mario games where you life! 2 - Make a new level called SIMULATOR where you can not drive outside it! Until you fix these things you will not only have a game with gorgeous graphics.
No Brown Flag? Alain Prost suggested they wave a brown flag at Nigel Mansell during the 1990 Mexican Grand Prix as he had a case of Montezuma's Revenge and complained about it at the drivers meeting.......
Its good to have those flag rules but there is more important things to do like tire pressure adjustments. Don't understand so much needs from Raceroom community for this.
Hell, let's just go all out on realism. Let's have a game that you can't run until you have acquired a real racing license. For each class naturally. Force every player to wear full Nomex suits, gloves, helmets and four-point harnesses. You won't be allowed to do online racing until you have a proper motion rig (Or alternatively have a family member willing to shake the seat every so often). And all damage to you car won't be repaired until you have donated the real-life costs to S3. Ha!. That'll show those whinging, "it's only a game" slackers!
flag rules are more important to the race itself... tire pressure adjustment more important for the physics... from a racers standpoint the flag rules were overdue. From a setup enthusiast's the tire pressure maybe. But I'm def more excited about flag rules now. Immersion grows.
