Ha, release pushed back to March 2020... I kinda expected that. But they better take their time and release a finished product.
Probably finding out that pretty pictures come at a price and grafting the Reiza philosophy into the Bell tower is not as simple as first thought. Always presumed if PC couldn't manage decent physics it was down to the engine rather than resources, proof will be in the Easter chocolate I guess.
That is not a public forum so it's pointless and also forbidden to link it elsewhere. Btw, I never understood people who complain about the grass and vegetation... That's the least important thing in my opinion. Of course, moving 3D trees are awesome, but I check them out once and never look at them again.
Only backer have access to this link... It would be forbidden if i would have posted a screenshot of that site... But either way this topic was discussed and answered from Reiza staff on Racedepartment... And btw alot people seem to like living in the past How dare of me to expect up to date graphics from a brand new project...
Well, looking at the trees in AMS, they're not the most ugly ones. They appear rather full-bodied and bulky. So I'm not concerned, they will have a very two-dimensional look in AMS 2.
Yea looks like AMS 1... They copy pasted the 3 flat tree assets they had around that track... Looks like there are only 2 new things... Sun glare effect and rain... Everything else is straight from AMS 1 from the looks of it... Man i expected so much more... Soooo much more... -.-
I´m tired of old tech... How can you not want up to date stuff... I will never understand that... Always these weird "Simracers"... "I drive fast have no time to look for trees" But 1 little detail not PERFECT "Oh no my immersion I can´t take this GAME serious"
If it came for free id agree but it doesnt so i can definitely see why some may not want it at all cost. Its time spent by the devs on something thats definitely less important in a driving sim than say physics and it costs the user performance (or money to upgrade their hardware). I for one wouldnt be willing to spend hundreds if not even more just to have some nicer trees
Yea it´s very hardware demanding to have 3D trees in a game in 2019... This engine already had 3D trees when it was released in 2017 and there was no need for a NASA pc or what ever you are trying to tell me lol
Yeah to be fair i dont know what exactly yall are talking about (or if id notice the difference between a 2d and a 3d tree, couldnt tell you what kind r3e has for example ) as i cant access that forum post but i guess even if performance wouldnt be an issue the time point still stands
Just look at that AMS2 video how old and blare/bleak that environment looks... No grass just nothing and everywhere the same 3 tree.jpg things... Man tracks in this engine can look so great and realistic... But looks like Reiza wont spend any effort on making new assets for a new game which i think really sucks... I expected way more when i backed this "New DX12 Engine" project...
Tbh when i heard about them using this engine i expected to have the great gfx from Pcars 2 with nice AMS physics... But no -.- I hope we get at least dirt buildup on the cars and marbles on the track...
Regarding Yahuarcocha, you must not forget this track ist 2190 m above sealevel. Vegetation is not as lush as at Brands Hatch.
