The steering zones are working this way: The first zone defines the sensitivity from 0 to about 33% of the sticks travel, the second for 34 - 66% and the last from 67 - 100%. I think this is a great solution and helps getting controllers feel good. I was not able to have fun with the standard xbox one controller, except in R3E, where I could tweak it to a useful level. In ETS2 and ATS the controller felt absolutely awful to me, no matter what I tried in the settings there. And this is the reason why I don't plan to buy the standard xbox one pad. The Elite seems to be great, especially with this profiler, but it is also a bit to expensive for me at this time.
The GTR3 cars feel different now... Better than before, but harder to handle. The Audi R8 2013 was almost unspinnable before, now it is really sensitive and needs more caution.
Here a my T500rs settings I tested with the last few months. Use the same setting for all cars but only change the FFB MP. I always use default Thrustmaster settings, 60/100/100/0/0 For the Z4 I use 2.0, as an example Good Not good
I have a problem with my raceroom. When i have my Xbox controller connected my keyboard does not work I have tried multiple different controller profiles gamepad, keyboard and custom and still cannot fix this problem I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I wouldnt mind but it means i cant use the Esc key to get into the pit. Does anyone know a solution for this problem?
Thanks, useful to know My XBox One Elite controller only works properly in ETS2 when I revert the XBox One driver to an older version from 2015, Microsoft recently broke something in their latest driver that messes up with how XInput interfaces with DirectInput, or something like that (perhaps ETS2 uses DirectInput?), but even if I don't revert the driver, the controller is fine in R3E.
SO does it need a little change since update or you happy with it, since i have had some tiem test it, whe I am at high speed 6th gear feels a bit loose at front?
I am playing with a 360 gamepad and using almost the same settings as provided for the xbo on page 9. Loose at front... does it feel to nervous? Maybe increase the deadzone and/or decrease the steering sensitivity. I felt best with a very fast and direct steering what helped me reduce steering corrections. I think the xbo controller profile is still useful. Even with a 360 gamepad.
BTW I'm thinking of getting a wired XBox 360 controller too, so I can do some practice racing at lunchtime at work (they're cool about playing computer games on work PCs at lunchtime, and lots do), as they're cheap as chips. How do your XBox 360 settings differ from the XBox One settings you posted on page 9?
My settings for the 360 from today are the same as for the xbone. The steering zones are a bit different at 1.9 - 2.0 - 2.1. If you don't know the 360 controller yet, don't think it feels like a cheaper xbox one pad. You will love one and hate the other. In the end you wish you could merge the best parts of both into one controller...
Here is the control set I am using for my Logitech G25. The new FFB felt weak & disconnected with the default G25 control set. For me it feels more connected now.
Thank you AMArkham40, I have been looking for a good setup all Sunday (in between WTCC, Tour de Flanders and F1 ) but stil not happy. I will give yours a try tomorrow .
My T500RS settings, still getting used to this wheel coming from a G29 but I settled on this so far: Thrustmaster control panel settings: 60/100/100/0/0
To all T500 users check the default setup. Thrustmaster control panel settings: 60/100/100/100/100 I was tweaking and testing other setups the last days and then tried the default setup. Of course you get some "fake ffb" but it is so much fun with GTR3 cars. The ffb multiplier has to tweaked a few clicks at some GT3 cars. It is probably not the fastest setup but I am enjoying too much. THANK YOU for the guy at Sector 3 who did this. T300 FFB should be similar I guess
Im no pro-gamer but these feel ok to me for the T500 RS... (with individual car ffb multiplier tweaking where needed) In the control panel I'm on defaults 60,100,100,100,100 FFB Intensity: 100% Steering Force Intensity: 60% FFB Min Force: 12% Understeer: 65% Vertical Load: 50% Lateral Force: 70% Steering Rack: 50% Slip FX: 35% Engine Vibes: 0% Kerb Vibes: 15% Shift FX: 35%
Hey Guys If you would like to try out a T300RS setting. I spent like 03 hours trying this shit out and i came up with this. I've tried it with all different cars and they work nicely FFB Intensity: 100% Steering Force Intensity: 80% FFB Min Force: 9% Understeer: 75% Vertical Load: 50% Lateral Force: 30% Steering Rack: 0% Slip FX: 60% Engine Vibes: 0% Kerb Vibes: 20% Shift FX: 60% Control Panel 80% / 100/100/0/0 Try it out and let me know what you think! all cars were on the default FFB multiplier.
BTW just I've posted a review of my experiences with the XBox One Elite controller and the Thurstmaster GPX Lightback controller with R3E here.
