I think he meant that it will go to the beta testers on monday, not be released to us ordinary deadly people..
Nearing the end of the day, and the long-awaited update did not appear I want to believe that I finally talk to him today. Or today only begins closed beta?
Yeah, it's fairly obvious that it will enter the closed beta testing phase 'for a few weeks' today, not be released to the wider game.
Yes it's the beta version that is coming today, they test it for a couple of weeks and if the bug count is low or non they will gif it to us, and some more goodies .But first there is a dev stream coming up Hope there is some good news
Yeah, we want to run this patch by our testers for a while before releasing it to you guys. Catch as many bugs as we can.
Yet it would be great if we get some information about the new features and code changes. So what is tested? For example: night racing - Yes or No? weather conditions - Yes or No? different storable racing setups - Yes or No? … ...
For me dedicated server will be the best add on this Sim. I love the online and the categories on R3E ! but we want to race with our community
In order: No No No, not in this one. Sorry for that! But the list of changes is just huge (Just like the patch size) and we hope it gets you interested enough to compensate the lack of night and weather
I don't care (atm) to have Night and weather up and running. As said in one of my previous post I'd give priority to dedi and rules (and ffb improvements). Solid base first. Then all the accessories.
I agree on night and weather, but I think storable setups definitely belongs to solid base and should be in game long time ago, same as flag rules. As for FFB I'm pleased with what we already have and I think it is brilliant (but maybe not for all cars, some of them might require updating).
Agreed. Additionally in a real Sim I' ve never seen a 100% physically correct implementation & animation of changing weather conditions (Richard Burns Rally was quiet nice but also "rain-light" mode), even PC as I just read uses it as cosmetical effekt that looks nice but has not much to do with physical reality - away from the fact that it mostly costs a lot of performance. Which I find is no wonder cause there are so much variables (quality and quantity of rain, wind, storm, various grip levels in even one section of a track, standing water, flowing water and much more) that I guess it would actually require an additional & complete "rain-physics-engine" to even come close to rudimental weather conditions alone...
So if everything has gone as planned, it has ben in closed beta test 1week now? So lets say 1week left to release to us?
Can't race online until dedi's come... Too many plonkers. it's getting ridiculous. I've just been turned around at least 5 times in a DTM 92 race... Squeezed to the wall etc... I tried to stay but it was too much.. What a wind up.
