Where does the argument -webdev -webHudUrl=****://localhost:4000/ actually get added? is this in the steam client?
Hey fellas, i got the HUD working, but after a while it starts to stutter like crazy, any ideas? My PC i7 5930K 1070ti 16GB 3200
I'd recommend using OtterHud instead, it's less demanding on hardware and also more advanced than the reference implementation.
@Balrog Thank you, i've tried both and always had probs, but for some odd reason it's working now EDIT: Nope, it's stuttering again Had one good race with no probs, now it started again, oh well
Are you sure the HUD is the problem? Do you use a Logitech wheel? Stutter after some time sounds like the dreaded GHub-problem. If not forget it, in this case I don't know...
I'm using a Thrustmaster T300 Alcantara, all other progs/games work just fine without stutter. EDIT: I found the problem, it's the MSI Afterburner, maybe this will help someone in the future
What resolution are you running? I'm experiencing stuttering when running the HUD in 4k, but not in 1080p.
2560x1440 and 1920x1080 for me it stutterd so bad that i couldn't control the car anymore, but when i play without MSI Afterburner on it runs smoooooooooth
@J-F Chardon Hello, I have problems to get the webhud working. I was following all steps but no chance to to see the dash when are playing. What I am doing wrong?
Try OtterHUD, it has more features: https://forum.sector3studios.com/in...custom-webhud-with-additional-features.13152/
My game is crashing when loading a race. This started when i tried the custom HUD. I did everything like it was said in description, and added the startup-command line in STEAM-options, and started the dash.exe and then the game, but it didn´t work, just crashed the game when loading the race. I shut down the dash.exe and removed the command line, and tried again, still crashing. I removeed the installation and re-installed, still crashing....What now???
I don't think this crash has anything to do with OtterHUD. It's been reported by others too in this thread, including me.
Hello ! In the Web Hud (dash.exe), the Overlay is configurable (for exemple, you can move Motec elements in the screen, etc ...). But where are these settings information stored on our computer? In the registry? In a file? I can't seem to find where this is stored.
It is saved in the Local Storage of the Game-Internal Browser Cache To be exact, it is a .ldb Database file, like Chrome uses also. Located here: Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\BrowserData\Cache\Local Storage\leveldb
Thanks for this great HUD! Is there any way of resetting best lap times? When a car's physics are completely changed it would be nice not to have the old lap times showing. Does the HUD get them from the game files (where?) or save them itself (where?)? Thanks in advance...
Thank you for your answer ^^ I did indeed find this file . I see that this file (ldb) is locked by the game executable so that it is not possible to replace it on the fly (by stopping/restart only dash.exe and not the game). So I don't know how to solve my problem. In fact, from time to time, my dash element configuration resets itself without me understanding why. I then have to put all elements in the dash overlay which is not ideal on the start of a race . I was thinking of doing a little script to be able to replace the configuration file with mine (when a reset occurs without my knowledge) but that will not be possible. Do you have a solution to do this? If not, would it be possible (in a future version of dash.exe) that we could save / restore a configuration (in a local file for example)?
