After opening a subject about general questions in RacingFR forum, a member asked about a released date concerning V8 Supercars announced in a twitch if I'm right...The answer given the april 27 by Sector3 was "NO" without a doubt.

I think you can erase the V8 in cars content

 

Removed the Bentley, Taatus and GTM pack, added DTM 2016.

 

Yeah, I saw that too, might be worth adding an 'on hold' or 'mothballed' marker for a few items.

Hehe.. since the xbow battle is on Brno and mugello, we need these tracks as well to drive a full season.
But tbh I'm not excited for the xbow, but I hope the R3E version will be more exciting than the pcars one...

 

Of course it will... PCARS has it in the wibbly wobbly road car category

 

Does FR U.S. cup imply F1-style cars? Interesting (though not my main racing interest...)

 

I'd assume IndyCar-style. There's an FR 1 class (F1) and an FR 1 Classic class coming.

 

Xbow Battle? I would have preferred some GT4s or a Clio Cup car.And by the way, I dont known if anyone has written this before,but if the STCC deal goes ahead, we will get TCR cars,as rules have officialy changed to run them from 2017.

 

Depending on what spec the XBow might be, it could well be a GT4 version. Let's hope, means we're one step closer to British GTs (A pipedream, I know!)

Seeing as Raceroom seem to be cosy with BMW (and BMW own Mini) can't be that hard to get the Mini licence, surely?

 

.. xbow battle series is with stock xbows.. if you have a street legal xbow you can enter the competition with your car. only money and a D-licence is needed.
there's also an xbow battle rookies-challenge where they drive the GT4 version of the xbow, there are no stock xbows allowed... so we could get both if we're lucky.

 

I'd love the GT4 version too, but I fear that this step requires other cars in this class aswell, like Chevron, Lotus, Sin, Ginetta, Aston and so on.
Based on the popularity of the series I don't think the priority for the developers is any higher than basement level.

Maybe therefore we will get a chance for more U.S. tracks and the oval layout of the Eurospeedway like it was used during the last CART season in 2003! Oh my god … I am so excited!

 

Mini will be nice too.

 

Eurospeedway race was raced already during 2001 season, titled as a memorial race on the immediate aftermath of 9/11, which backfired badly for CART as one of its biggest PR failures (probably the biggest after Firehawk 600 disaster on the same year)

But yes, CART would be awesome. I'd like to see something from 1994-98, the golden years of the CART as it started lose its steam from 1999 onwards. True CART inspired mod would need few chassis and engine versions, adjustable boost and so on, but I wouldn't mind something spec-like resembling the era. Late 90's CART cars are definitely the coolest open wheelers of all time, really mean looking machines

 

I know, it was my first oval race, live at the track ... all 35 seconds the same cars flying by in trun 1 ... unfortunately I saw some meat parts of Alex Zanardi legs ... no more commentary about this ... however it was great race
