I think it is. And I like that there are onsite events they bring prestige. I'm saying that project cars, ac, gt, etc . They have much bigger reach outside of hardcore sim racer community. They are in a better position to create revenue through competitions. My opinion is that R3E should shift development focus to online. It could more players paying for content and more viewers for the competitions. I'm not saying to drop onsite events, I'm saying the development balance should change .
Looking at the success of titles like AC and pCars 1 and 2, I doubt that there are more online that offline players.
If you want to be that specific there is no offline in R3E. No matter how you look at it those titles have much more players to follow the competitions and much more press coverage. From the business point of view it seems strange to me that the focus is on onsite events organization and deveplopments that can bring more viewers to onsite events this more money are being shelved.
With "offline" I meant "single player". I am pretty sure they are what makes those titles successful in a broad market. About onsite events - such a successful event might spark interest by other locations to build a Raceroom Cafe, thus produce revenue for Raceroom. The online competition as such does not generate any income. But maybe we should continue this in a seperate off-topic thread, instead of hijacking the KTM thread
Yes, let move that to a new thread. Maybe I'll make on after work. Onsite events will not spark anything if no one knows about them. Onsite events need prizes, so they need sponsors and sponsors need viewers to be interested in sponsoring. Competitions like WTCR and AMG are streamed by EuroSport and Mercedes that brings viewers. Raceroom is not a known brand. I found it by chance, it's now my only sim and I love it, but it's far behind competiton when it comes to publicity. Not making announcements won't help. I want the best for R3E so I'm voicing my opinions.
I think this car is dead along with the entire EU GT4 series. They pushed it all out of the way for WTCR. I do like the new WTCR series however the brakes in those cars feel like they are made of wood. I'd really like to see this come in a whole package like they did for WTCR: ALPINE A110 GT4 - NEED MANUFACTURER LICENSE ASTON MARTIN VANTAGE GT4 - NEED MANUFACTURER LICENSE AUDI R8 LMS GT4 BMW M4 GT4 CHEVROLET CAMARO GT4.R ERIKS M4 GT4 - NEED MANUFACTURER LICENSE FORD MUSTANG GT4 GINETTA G55 GT4 - NEED MANUFACTURER LICENSE KTM X-BOW GT4 MASERATI GRANTURISMO MC GT4 - NEED MANUFACTURER LICENSE MCLAREN 570S GT4 MERCEDES AMG GT4 NISSAN 370Z RJN PORSCHE CAYMAN GT4 CS MR PORSCHE CAYMAN PRO 4 PORSCHE 997 CUP GT4 (AM CLASS ONLY) SIN R1 GT4 - NEED MANUFACTURER LICENSE I guarantee the servers will be full.
IMHO, I think we won't see those GT4 soon By the way, whyle it's another topic, I'll probably won't buy Porsche (956, 962, GT1) IF there's no Mercedes CLK GTR, Lancia LC2 and the like...
I think most here prefer the faster cars. Personally, I prefer the gt3 and lower class cars. Gt4 fits in there for me, good luck selling the idea to s3
They're new cars but on a promise, we were promised 9, have 3 so there's another 6 drifting around the ether somewhere, last I heard, minds were still not made up on what the next 3 will be, so maybe next year! In fact if you tot up the cars, tracks and features on the promised list S3 have a lot to cram in over the next few months. Case of waiting for J-F Chardon to pluck up some courage and record a Dev stream (my offer is still open by the way) to perhaps enlighten us to some sort of schedule for release, else it's back to speculation and dumb ass ideas for the near future.
I'm an insomniac so bit difficult not to! Your scepticism shall not be absorbed either, as; although slow at delivering, what comes is S3 class and worth waiting for. The above list is not a wish list but an in development list and as I'm an adult it would take just a tad more to get an old git like me excited. 'Servers down for scheduled maintenance' now that's a different matter all together the moment I see that it's on with the kettle for a celebratory cup of Char, may even dunk a Custard Cream if I feel that way inclined. So as you can see, I can get over excited on occasions!
The main issue with that car is at the start of the race, IMO...It's nearly impossible not to lose 2 or 3 positions when the green lights shows up... There's, also, a great lack of top speed...I can't go faster than 228 km/h in the uphill section of Kesselchen... Maybe the gears rare a bit shorter than IRL...
For the start of the race, make sure you have traction control on 0%.. After the start put it back up to about 15%.. It does lack some topspeed but it makes up for that in braking and corner speed imo..
