Me too I want to enter the infinite* arguing loop that took possession of this thread. I don't see the problem when J-F is using humor, the message is the same: you know that the patch is not ready yet. When something happens, whatever it is, what is wrong with smiling? * Not really infinite, in fact it should end as soon as Soon™ happens.
I'm often told I take things way too seriously than I should, given the circumstances, but man, I don't hold a candle to you. I'd expect most of us here would understand the difference between some semi-serious light-hearted forum comment and an official press release/statement. But apparently, some of us don't seem to be able to do that and demand that every single post from an S3 dev to be super serious, otherwise they take it as a personal insult to them as a customer apparently. Well, each to their own I guess. Myself, I definitely prefer the less serious approach, especially if it means getting a bit more information (because 90 % of what was said about the upcoming patch would not be shared at all if it was all serious business here - or if it would be, then much later and in a more vague way). Even when it means there will obviously be some unexpected changes and delays - that's just how life is.
As with most of the internet, 1% of the people seem to do 99% of the complaining. I'm sure this update will be great when it's done and all the tears will be forgotten.
C'mon guys, really? This is a delayed patch for a computer game. It's not the apocalypse, nobody gets hurt. If this really bothers you upto a point where you feel personally insulted or heavily annoyed then the delay is your least problem. Please don't blow this out of proportion. I'd like to have the patch released rather last week then today too. But it's only a delayed patch for a computer game. If you can't handle this, I can't help but wonder how you get along with all the wars and people dying from starvation all around the world....
Some guys here remind me of Come on...relax. The patch will surely come and Sector 3 will have their reasons to postpone this patch.
Humor aside, I've said it before but I'll re-iterate: we've been busy getting the balance of the GT3's as close as we can. We know we'll most likely use the live feedback, race results and leaderboards data once all the players got their hands on them and roll out some further tweaks, but we wanted to ensure that we get them as balanced as possible on patch day. We also gave ourselves some extra testing time for the feature regarding competitions. Today we're going to give the patch candidate build to our betatesters for final tests over the weekend. If all goes well we should be rolling it out on the 28th, next tuesday. Which is not a promise, still a target date
That's abit harsh.. @Eisprinzessin I bet that's a pic of you in your avatar, you sound like a bitch..
Thank you for the update, J-F Chardon. Been wanting to return to R3E after a bit of FM7 which eventually I got sick of it. Those new GT3 would be a nice return to R3E purchase.
Everyone will go nuts because they forget the word "estimation" in their brains just like last time with the "14november estimation" reply on one of the threads. It's funny because when Sector3 did release the patch and the balance of the gt3 cars were completely off or something was broken. People would then say something along the lines like: "You guys should have worked longer on it instead of releasing a broken update!" I rather have a working as inteded update late than have a broken release update early. After all you can moan all you want but that wont make you have the update sooner. So the update is out Soon TM
I like R3E very much It is very painful to wait Please work more systematically The fans will not wait forever Good luck with your hard work
