Discontinued OtterHud - A custom WebHud

Don't you have "show all widgets" button active by accident?

 

I deleted the dash folder and took the Sector3 dash.That works with no problems,but the Otter does not respond to gear nor to the laptimes or Delta time widges.I can try tomorrow again.Is there something else than the dah folder to be deleted to start from scratch?As i di,it was the same behavior.

 

I am talking about "show all widgets" button in OtterHud settings. It shows bunch of widgets and populates them with fake static data for easier setup of the position etc. It makes it behave the way you describe.

Ideally you shouldn't have to delete anything, just turn "show all widgets" off if you accidentally turned it on.

 

Yesterday I streamed a race on Daytona, and there was no information on wheels in the tower.
Previously, there was such information, in the options the function is enabled

Tryed it today again,installed it and it was there like yesterday,switch it of,all gone.Otterhud seems to merge the settings even when fresh installed.

Couple of questions.

Will tbere be updates to add corner names for Daytona and Watkins Glen?
Turn 7 at Laguna Seca shows as Trun 7
Why are the smaller relative positions time gaps so far out from the positions bar. Often relative can be more than 2 seconds out from what the actual gap is.

Crew Chief will give correct gap, but a glance at Otterhud relative and it is way out.

 

Is there any widget showing the amount of incidents in race..??

 

If you have Race Room's own HUD settings as Essential Only, message will appear each time you incur any incident points. It stays in view each time for a few seconds whenever you incur any points, but at least lets you see your own 'running total' during a race.

Don't think Otterhud overlay has anything to indicate incident points.

What new HUD?

There are two HUD types. One is included with the game, which you enable/disable through the in-game option menus. The other is a webHUD like OtterHUD, which requires running a third-party app (Crew Chief or Dash.exe) to show up in the game, and has it's own menu controls.

 

There is no new HUD. Maybe you mean the new optional webmenu, which is a separate thing. It only changes the menu, the pre-race screen etc, it does not change the HUD.

compared to the OtterHUD.

 

It's not really new hud. This predates OtterHud, since OtterHud is essentially modified and expanded version of it.

That isn't new. That was the first webHUD ever released for R3E, an example version made by S3. It pales in comparison to OtterHUD as it's been expanded and improved on in nearly every way. To be honest, I don't think there are any other webHUDs that are worth using... OtterHUD does everything and looks great, so not many other people have bothered trying to create one! There were a couple of others initially, but they haven't been supported by the authors for a long time.

 

For a while now, when entering the warm-up time, the whole hud starts flashing and does not let me do anything. Do I have to change or configure something? Thanks.
