very, very, very nice!!! ... maybe we also get a "Freightliner" copy and real life paint schemes one day ... these would be great additions for the "RR Trucks"
The RaceRoom Truck is now available on https://game.raceroom.com/store/cars/truck-racing/raceroom/raceroom-mf-truck
if you guys have time with the trucks and once you get used to them it be great if you could do a few leaderboards ; help us get the baseline ai tuned in a bit more thanks in advance Andi
Only did 3 laps at my hometrack Zolder and i'm already in love. Big thanks for this brilliant addition.
The perfect pre-Xmas gift ! ... Does anyone know what the letters "mf" in "RaceRoom MF-Truck" mean? "Motherf**ker" ??? ...
being an awful nitpicker, I noticed that the water spray sound is the same as the fuel pump sound when you switch on the ignition. apart from that I love the trucks, driving them is my daily workout now.
Tested the Truck at Bathurst. Its a lot better than what I was expecting. It was able to brake, and steering it wasn't too tough. On the steering, I found myself releasing the wheel and letting it spin back to straight, and then catching it. Its something I sometimes do in my car. I just wish I had a more intuative setup for the gear range and torque split. I've broken the transmission twice in my session. Both were because I was trying to go from 10th gear to 8th. Having the lever in 10th gear, when I switch to the low range, I mistakenly put the lever back into the gate I pulled it out of. Yup I performed a 10th to 2nd down shift. Not good for going in the forward direction. If I had a toggle switch for both the split and range. I probably would have fared better. I got to find a USB trucking sim shifter knob! A quick search landed me on Etsy and walmart... Gotta see if the one at the Waltons website is worth the extra 30 bones.
Tried it today and bought it, the feel is so good. I like to race with the tiny nsu tt, the truck are little faster, and I enjoy the moment crashing into these tiny cars. The rear end also comes loose very easily, and there is no traction control, so need to control my right foot
