Nope, and from what I gather it never will be. I'm in the same boat, as I can't use this with my Rift S. I've gone back to using OtterHUD. It apparently has issues with the the latest version of R3E, but I haven't experienced a single problem yet.
I am using Rehud 0100 beta for only it's radar function but Raceroom often crashing with an exception error of 0xC0000005.
Thank you Maskerader, since I couldn't play much, I thought the problem was caused by Rehud. Sorry about that. Then I need to search for something else about these crashes.
You're not the only one with this issue. Try using 32 bit version of the game and if crashes continue, create a new thread and post your crash dumps. They might help devs figure out what's happening.
Finally managed to install it properly on Linux, will leave it here as it also works for myself consults in the future: Install protontricks on your distro. 1. Install dotnet48 in the game vessel: WINEPREFIX=~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/211500/pfx winetricks -q dotnet48 2. Install Rehud: WINEPREFIX=~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/211500/pfx wine Downloads/ReHUD.Setup.0.10.1-beta.exe 3. Run Rehud: protontricks-launch --appid 211500 ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/211500/pfx/drive_c/Program\ Files/ReHUD/ReHUD.exe (This same steps also work for Crewchief and Simhub)
I have trouble getting it to run in VR. activated VR mode and clicked "show in VR" in Steam Overlay settings via CrewChief. But there is always a black rectangle blocking the view.
@Niko Schrenker In the CrewChief VR overlay settings, you should enable the "Transparent Background" checkbox and set some tolerance (see which value works best for you). The transparent color should be set to black (#000000). Attached example settings below. (Show in VR should of course be ticked) Sorry for the late reply, didn't get an email for some reason.
Hello, whenever i start the hud and go on track, my screen goes black. I can still see my cursor and hear the ingame sound. Can even drive, but the screen is just black. When i close the HUD, the screen is back to normal. Any help is welcome!
I'm curious: Since Otterhud still works nicely for me (with VR), are there compelling reasons why I should change to rehud? Features that Otterhud doesn't offer?
not sure there are any , but otterhud has caused random whitescreens and crashes on some peoples systems and has had no updates for a few years now ; so its no longer recommended by the game devs Andi
I see, thank you! Then I'll just keep the old hub until it breaks for me as well. (Never change a running system, right? ;-) )
ReHud keeps opening multiple instances, is there any way to disable the game hooking and just open manually?
Hello!! I noticed a problem with ReHud. The AMD frame limiter (at least for me) is disabled as soon as ReHud is running. This means that R3E runs at full FPS, even though that isn't necessary. (120Hz monitor). R3E runs in borderless mode. The same is true with SimHub. The OtterHud, on the other hand, runs without any problems, at least as far as that goes. Does anyone know a solution? Best regards hffox
How do you measure game FPS? Are you sure 120 is the game's FPS and not ReHUD's because its windows is in front of the game's window?
Hello!! Yes, that's the game FPS. Displayed in the AMD overlay, Cross-checking with FRAPS shows the same. GPU utilization then goes towards 98%, as does the power consumption, measured at the socket. I just did a test on my laptop with Nvidia graphics. The frame limit is adhered to there. But here on the AMD computer, R3E runs at full speed without an FPS limit. Update: If you turn off the FPS limit (target frame rate) in the AMD driver and turn on Vsync instead, then ReHud also works with the FPS limit. In R3E I have Vsync off. The AMD driver frame limit only works with full-screen applications. Regards hffox
Have you instead tried RTSS to cap frames straight from the CPU async side, I am pretty sure this way is best for capping frames, shouldn't matter if its in windowed mode or not as you can point RTSS directly to the .exe
