Telemetry SecondMonitor (Timing & status App)

Real quick, anyone know if Second Monitor works on Macbooks? I'd like to be able to review my telemetry readings (ie. ride height, braking, etc.) on the go when I have free time. My only portable laptop is a mac.

 

Thanks,would then be possible to have an option on the app itself to change car name please?
For example a right clip on the car name and a pop up will be shown saying rename car,so I can enter the name I want and the app will save it and next time I will be using that car the app will remember and will use the name I changed previously?

 

Sorry, but no, it is a windows app, and will only work on windows.

Yes, that could be done. I will add it on the list, but tbh it will not have a big priority atm.

I have pushed a new version. The application was upgraded to a newer .net version, so you might get two prompts when you try to run the app, and don't have either .NET 8 framework, or .NET Core ASP installed.

The udpate also adds a rest api for the app, so third party apps are able to retrieve (so far limited subset) data from the app.

Thanks for the report. Hopefuly it is now fixed. Most likely autoupdate will not work, as it is a startup issue.

I have installed new version of Second monitor and upgrade .Net to v8.0.11

But now, I have this message at each start and Second monitor is not usable

Tried on 2 computers, same issue

I'm on Windows 10

 

Did you download the runtime from the download link?
There are two separate packages that needs to be installed, the .NET 8 is one of them, the second is the asp.net core runtime. These are separate installs.

Thanks for the update,I'm having an issue I never had before with this new version though.
The app crashes when I close the game (AC) and it crashes even the 1st time is loading,so to make it work I need to lunch the game,lunch the app which will crash the 1st time and then lunch it again a second time and then it will work.

I have tried to uninstall and re-install the app,I have tried the version you posted here from gitlab but nothing fix the issue.
The app has created a file called Assetto Corsa.xml.error if it could help I could send it over for you to have a look? thanks

Is there a way to roll-back to the latest install of second monitor that doesn't require the asp.net core runtime

I can't install the asp.net core file. It says I need another version (and doesn't mention which one) but I downloaded using the link above and my PC runs Win10.

Installing the Net 8.011 was no problem.

 

The bundle has eveything in one install file. This one I can install.

So, just to be clear, with this install file you were able to solve the problem?

Yep. SecondMonitor runs with this bundle installed.

 

What is the refresh rate in settings? Default is set to 300? Telemetry says default is every 16ms so this cannot be the same thing?

Also i noticed as a feedback that unless second monitor has already knowledge of the first track layout in a championship, it will not autostart and detect the championship. So when creating a custom championship try and have the first track one which is known to Second monitor
