Let's hope we can find some online races for this, I absolutely low these old racing cars and prefer to race them before the new aero monsters. They are miles faster for sure, but the old timers are just more exciting.
It seems the cars competing against the VW Scirocco in the Division 2 during the Group 2 era were the Audi 80 GTE, BMW 1602, Ford Escort II RS, Toyota Celica and VW Golf GTI. Let's hope that some of these cars will join the Scirocco in future updates.
For BMW, i think more like 2002 or e21 320, as Scirocco is from 1977. Edit. right, Div.2 was 1600cc so 1602 would be more direct competitor indeed.
First few laps and it feels pretty good! Nice work guys. My FOV was super weird in it for some reason?
Yes, really fun to drive. I'm not a FWD fan but the Scirocco is neutral with the stock setup and very enjoyable. The sound, as always with Anthony, is fantastic. A wonderful addition to RaceRoom!
When a FWD is actually fun.... You can completely steer it on the pedals. Even the FFB feels crystal clear here, like you are rolling over the ground. Exterior sound is not bad, but somehow it doesn't reach the "kick" for me, like the interior does, hard to describe.^^
Anyone have a numbness when the car goes into a slide? Its like the FFB just turns off for me once the car is in zero steer or all four are sliding a bit. @Alex Hodgkinson Is this a new FFB model that should turn the understeer effect down? I wish the FFB effects were adjustable per car.
I'm a die-hard FWD fan, but this car feels weird. FFB is also weird. It's very hard to feel the moment of the slip. So far I used only the default setup, so it's hard to say what this machine can really do
Yet another brilliant car that I never knew I needed but I can't do without now. The sound is spectacular @Anthony Monteil !! It sounds like a nest of angry murder hornets. Love it.
I can read the Scirocco pretty good, but I'm struggling with the modern fwd cars. So it's probably a matter of habit, driving style and preference.
