The WTCC 2014 series marked a highlight in recent touringcar racing history, and now you get to relive all the drama and the close racing. This pack contains all the TC1 cars entered by Citroën, Chevrolet, Honda and Lada, from the official works teams to the privateer entries. It's on!Developed in close relationship with teams like ROAL Motorsport, we were able to raise the realism to a new level, including accurate Transmission flex and sounds recorded on location. The 2014 Citroen WTCC C-Elysee is a front wheel driven marvel of engineering. Its lightning fast, but with that raw potential also comes a car that can be a real handful to race on the limit. If you can handle it, the Elysee is the 2014 touring car to beat. Still operating as an official works team, the succesful 2013 Civic was updated with a sleeker aero package giving it a very balanced ride, and the engine was tuned to push out even more power. The 2014 Civic package is a muscular looking bundle that could be a serious contender. The privately run RML team upgraded and refined the 2014 Cruze to take on the factory efforts of other brands. This Cruze has the pedigree and proven capability to make a mark on the 2014 season. Drive smart and the Cruze will do the job. While Lada started out as an underdog in the WTCC, the official works entry from Russia quickly rose to the occasion and in 2014 the car took 2 race wins with Rob Huff at the rudder. Can you match that effort and take the Granta to victory lane? Technical Data: The TC1s are much more advanced than the previous generation of cars. The wings have been widened to accommodate 18-inch wheels, while the front bumper has also been modified, now incorporating an aerodynamic splitter. The underside of the car is flat, and the aerodynamic adjustments are completed with an imposing rear spoiler. Unlike most track cars, the TC1s are front-wheel drive. As well as bearing the weight of the powertrain, the front wheels are solely responsible for the vehicle’s drive and steering functions. source: http://www.citroenracing.com/en/citroen-c-elysee-wtcc/ Driving Tips: Given the high torque and the FWD Transmission, the TC1 cars require a very smooth driving style. Lifting the throttle too abruptly will result in turn-in oversteer, and applying power too quickly will make the front wheels spin and you will loose traction. Less is more with these cars. But once you learned to manage your right foot, you will be rewarded with quick lap times and great driving pleasure!
Looks wonderful. Can't wait to run these. Below is the 2014 Schedule. To run a custom season what are you all going to fill in the blanks with? ?? ?? Hungaroring Slovakia Ring Salzburgring Moscow Ring ??? ??? ??? Shanghai Suzuka Macau ??? I was thinking Nurburgring, Monza, Sonoma, Brands Hatch, Red Bull Ring, and Bathurst for Macau since it's not out yet.
It's an opportunity to run races on tracks better than the ones on the real calendar. For instance the Portuguese round can go to Portimao as it once did.
facebook says: "FIA WTCC 2014 car pack coming real soon to RaceRoom, maybe tomorrow....?! ;-) " I can't wait that amount of time :-D
You know one thing I'd like to see S3S do (not sure if this is even possible but I'd like to see it) For new cars, the day before, put em up for a test drive on the store page. I'll bet it would garner more sales for em.
If R3E is not updated tomorrow it seems to be a strategic thing to not release it earlier, seems like the work is already done since the major update.
