Actually... I may have misunderstood multiple bindings. I assumed that multiple mapping meant, your button mapping would have alternate functions, depending on what menu is open. I am not looking for duplicate bindings for the pit menu. I just wanted my D-pad to be able to operate it when it is open, and to return to looking and view change duty when the pit menu is closed. There are things I would like to have duplicate bindings for. Sequential shifting and pause are two examples. Although escape and having a button on the wheel that doubles as the pause/escape key seems to work well. It's sounds like a good habit to have. Make sure you know what your controls are, just in case you need to use them. I should have double checked my pit menu controls before jumping into the race. But sometimes making the mistake is the best way to learn.
A theoretically simple to implement QOL proposal. Standarise the default size of the track maps on the HUD. Right now Oserchleben is miniscule yet Brands Hatch is enormous. It´s a pain having to adjust the scale for every track - I can understand the Nordschleife taking up more space but not some of the other circuits.
Ability to pause the game so you can make pit stop selections. When you're in VR its very distracting trying to fumble for the right buttons if you want to change your pit strategy. Generally that lap before I come in is a couple of seconds slower or I end up crashing because I'm distracted
Optimizations for VR please. My 5800x3d with a 5700xt should be able to push my reverb g2 pretty well but I can barely keep it at 60fps, and if I'm anywhere on the track where my view turns towards a busy area such as pit street (even if I'm not near it and it's not actually visible, and it's not about # of cars, just the track itself) the fps dips and stutters happen. So I run on my 1440p monitor instead with the same graphics settings and get over 400 fps. I know visuals/graphics are on the wishlist, I saw the interview recently.. but I hope that means more than just how pretty things look, and weather/night etc. I hope it means a better engine and support for modern technologies like FSR etc. I would upgrade my GPU but it runs everything I do well and I have no way to know if it would really get me a few more fps in RR VR. VR is great, but if it's not smooth it kills immersion and it becomes not worth it.
A multiplier added to adaptive AI so that you can choose where in the pack you want to run, i.e 100 = front, 150 = back and 110,120 etc in-between down the field. Would be good to be able to run near the front and not buried (which is what adaptive should mean IMHO)
- Native partial cockpit like rFacotr 2 or AC for F1 cockpit. I have succeed with some interestings camera with editing the files : - lieft and right virtual mirror like rF2 but with setting for changing the place with "M" key like for the HUD
5800x3D owner here as well and like you was confused with poor VR performance *had a 6800XT for my test went to Discord, found advices, applied them and bingo, smooth 90fps all around with very high Graphics settings (please note I just grabbed a 6950XT so now I have even performance headrom on top) please have a look at this thread https://forum.kw-studios.com/index.php?threads/vr-performance-tweaks-tips.13068/page-35#post-244561
Thanks for responding. The OpenComposite or whatever that is called doesn't work with WMR headsets like the Reverb G2. I really wish it did.
QoL improvements: -don't hide invalid laps (just display them in red and ofc don't count them in leaderboard) -darkmode available for all menus and store and leaderboards (basically game & portal)
rain, i know it has probably been said numerous times but please add rain to the game, latest online race i've done with race 07 was at anderstorp with rain, and it was a damn blast... then i would say, do some menues that are not so dependant on some web technology, they are so damn sluggish oh, and please please please, rework backfires from exhausts as they are literally ugly...
that would be cool, i wanna race with my mate, but a race with 2 cars is really boring. Multiplayer/dedicated server : adding AI on dedicated Servers
more ranked schedule main categories, DTM, Porsche, GT3, WTCR for example we often have this ugly bmw or nsu cup
