The 488 GT3 Evo 2020 is the latest evolution of Ferrari’s beautiful apex predator, competing at the pinnacle of GT racing. It further improves on the original 488 GT3 and features refined aerodynamics and a lightened chassis.

This is Ferrari’s most successful racer ever, which is saying something for a marque with such a pedigree. 488s have now won more than 420 races around the world in the crucible that is GT3. An Evo took the Teams Championship in the 2021 DTM season: just one of well over a hundred titles that have now been won in a 488.

 

I know the dev team has nothing to do with pricing but this is disappointing. I've already bought this car and the new Mercedes in other packs, and now I'm expected to pay $4 total for two liveries or $6 if I want the Bentley. Kind of ridiculous IMO.

 

The response from the community is about the same everywhere. S3, think about it.

 

Anyone with Premium pack and DTM 21 and ADAC 20 and wants all 3 GTR3 cars and all liveries is best buying the GTR3 car pack - just remember it is a one time only purchase so once you have it you can´t do it again.

Yeah, the pricing was a bit unexpected. At least I hope it funds some new cool stuff for the sim.

 

Please remember the developers do not set pricing its raceroom/kw who set prices promos etc

In this game the ADAC/DTM21/GTR3 cars are all BOPd and the car is the same across these classes.

Which one do you mean? If it's the one from GT3 class then it's not "newly developed" and you wouldn't be able to get "lots" of paint jobs for 0,53 Euro.

 

The evo is the left one. Spot the difference.

 

What does the new and old GT3 have to do with it? We talking about the fact that there is already a new one in the ADAC class.

 

Bentley Evo was first released as a part of ADAC 2020 class, it was a year ago. So your claim - a new car, plus many liveries, all for 2,5 Euro - either doesn't apply to Bentley Evo, or your numbers are way off.

 

I will never understand how someone can complain about 5 or 10 bucks for new stuff. It does'nt matter if it's a "new" car or just some liveries, those people deserve that money! They try to make some income with this, you might not forget, servers are free to use, updates are free, they are working FOR US, for our hobby! So many here smoking or drinking beer and stuff, and pay way more than 5 bucks for that crap that is'nt healthy or good for your bank account.
I am totaly ok to spend some money to this team and to this game, it keeps the wheels spinning. Yes Raceroom and S3, keep working, keep bringing stuff and updates and take my gooddamn money for that! I am happy to give it to you!

 

I think it matters. A new car requires much more work, and for players it's a new experience, while a new livery is a texture you usually don't even see.

Also, if some people spend 5-10 Euro like it's nothing doesn't automatically mean everyone does and therefore shouldn't be upset for increased prices.

 

Rationality tends not to be compatible with hobbies.
It´s not the first time this pricing model has been used - WTCR20 was. However, I think what got people´s goat this time was the requirement to pay more than normal for a fantasy class and some fantasy liveries. Perhaps if the car had been a Gtr3 from the beginning and then the official DTM pack had been released, it might have been received more positively but that would have reduced the USP of the DTM pack, so commercially it made sense to do it like that.

Fortunately, people still have the choice whether to buy these new liveries to play - the exception being leaderboard events.

Looking at the big picture, the 2022 new DLC content includes 2 rehashed tracks out of 5 and apart from the F1 2022, the other "new" cars have either been livery updates or annual car pack updates. That, to me reflects the current state of the game - crusing along under its own power but not doing anything new or different.

Reiza made a valid point in that their quarterly updates include more features than some new annual titles do. Indeed, apart from Assen, the other RRE tracks were all in other games already as were the Gt3s. Correct me if I am mistaken but the only really unique new dvelopment feature in RRE has been the safety car but that was somewhat miitigated by the need for a human driver.
