Yea I'm starting to adapt to it, the driving is not that much different. What bugs me most is that it is to tail happy for a all wheel drive and as Andy Kettler said it was regulations that locked one gear, but then regulation locked also the differential att 100% and it is a all wheel drive, same amount of torque coming out to all 4 wheel and that I think is not working like that at the moment. It is hard not to like the chalange it is to drive that car it is some what of a beast and unpredictable every now and then
Still my favorite car ever in any sim combine. And I started way back on my ibm 486 that's pre windows 95 lol.
Yea same here I even started earlier ha ha... was comodore, sinclair ZX, IBM iron lay 8086, ha ha ha.... windows 3 and 3.11 ona 386 then the 486 ha ha... holy crap how time flies...
I had a 386 as well remember playing Warcraft 1 on that thing and Dune. Then on the 486 Indy car racing by papyrus i never looked back, Racing was my favorite. If you're that old no wonder you're grumpy And old grumpy man calling another old grumpy man, GRUMPY ... that's rich
We are both old goats then Mich ! From the same era it looks (circa early 60's) as I too love these Classic cars that were like untamed animals on Speed - I owned a Ford Falcon V8 XB car when I was 18 and it was way too powerful for the pup I was back then - but boy I had some fun in it !!! . .. and a few speeding tickets @MeMotS - I loved that early papy game of Indy Car Racing and put many hours into lapping Road America and Mid Ohio and then was so happy a track pack came along with the Gold Coast Incy Circuit and I didn't stop lapping that and trying to get faster times ... super fun !
@Blanes Yea shore is Blanes early 60´ s Hard not to like brute force cars ha ha ha... I started out litle more gentle with a Saab 99 altho for that litle car I had a fuelinjection system from the turbo version.. wich I aded later too, i was for those days a mouthfull to handle ha ha ha... as you so well put it, it wasn't made for a pup to drive ha ha... but I got around to figgure it out eventualy yea those speeding tickets yeaaa.... you had to remind me ha ha ha @MeMotS oh the good old days .... NOT ha ha... the waiting for it to start you could go and eat dinner and it was loaded when you where done ha ha...
@MeMotS @Mich Angel @Blanes this makes me smile, reminds me of three old war chiefs, sitting at a campfire and telling old stories of battle and scalping
When seeing the stylized images with 70/80s color filters, reminds me of how much I'd want historic look track versions, like AMS offers some. Just so cool how much and how close people were back in the days. That in VR please in 5 years or so While arcade it's really something I enjoyed in the first Grid game, the stadium atmosphere. And +1 on more US tracks.
I told you guys I thought I saw someone in the bushes with a sketch pen !!! ... Oh and definitely a big + 1 for Sebring as that is such a great track and truly deserves to be in RRRE so we can race on it with these fantastic GTO's together with the Group 5 pack ... that would be so awesome to combine these two classes when we eventually get the multi-class racing... Bring IT on
Pure orgasm! !! Jujuju but please don't miss the Mazda RX-7 IMSA GTO for me R3E is the most exciting sim to drive on market. Really really really nice content, and blast physics! I dream with rotary sound with R3E quality
Mmmm Win 3.1, giving me an headache just thinking about it, having to write your own video and sound drivers (which wouldn't work) just for everything to grind to a halt, leave for two days, intro screen, buzzing sound and crash, bringing a tear to my eyes!
