Not everyone, you never get "everyone". But many. Probably most - probably overwhelmingly. The same discussion was done for AC one year ago. But today, practically everybody (9 of 10, or more) playing AC, has DLC-1 and Nordschleife. And the other two DLCs as well. I expect a comparable effect with Raceroom's Nordschleife. I would be surprised if it is not so. Even more since the visual detail level of this version seems to be higher than that of AC's Nord. Seems it is set to claim the genre crown for visual looks of Nordschleife tracks.
We do not have laser scanning equipment and even if, you can't go and laserscan the Nordschleife like that. So we bought the same package as other developers, from a company called 3DMapping. Their data was a couple years old so we asked for latest data recordings from KW as cross-reference.
I highly recommend watching this while we wait for the track to be released. It's a great "intro to being introduced to the nordschleife", and just a great movie for any car enthusiast. Started it last night late, and ended up staying up way past my usual sleepy time as a result! I should also note, they often reference "the game" in comparison to the real thing, adding some relevance here - although i suspect "the game" may be Gran Tourismo or Forza. But surely these are the type of guys that would prefer R3E https://vimeo.com/ondemand/pilgrimage
How? Where? Has this ever been released to public (DVD/BR/DL) or shown in a cinema other than the Nürburgring cinema?
I blame @Andi Goodwin Seriously tho, would love to watch this, cast looks very interesting. Let's hope it will see a public release some day.
I was cursing the same question last night. I had to join vimeo and rent for $3.99 using PayPal. Apparently you can BUY the hard copy DVD on Amazon...just search the store, not video. By the way, the guys that made this movie, Everyday Driver, I am hooked on their podcast and videos currently. Best road car enthusiast program out there as far as being in tune with average car fan. http://www.everydaydriver.com/
Would be nice to get some copy's of that exclusive for some RaceRoom forum members, which ordered the upcoming"green hell" package in r3e ;-)
That's a fair call, it does seem to go to the next level in comparison to the AC version, just hope it's not overpriced as that alone may deter sales, and RRE has enough of a bad rap for their pricing principals. I was determined not to bother with this release (already payed out 3 times more than I have for any other racesim and content) but I will wait and see the end result before I "Ya" or "Na" the Nords. Cheers
Fore sure this comparison is rather lousy, but somehow I have to silence my conscience. Just to keep in mind, one lap irl is 29 € I think. Let's say in r3e Nordschleife will be 999 or 1199 vRPs and you'll drive 100 laps, one would make 10 or 12 vRPs. So, the more laps you'll drive, the cheaper it will get.
Maybe it comes in a pack with few surprises ? Liike maybe a historic Formula car from 60's or 70's !!! Then price around 1699 vRP would be very nice value. I have paid so far, about three times the price I paid for any of my other racing sims and still quite some distance from having all content
Would be cool to have some sort of a 24h/VLN package with the track and some liverys from the 24h/VLN races included.
