They had limited steering range to stop the front wheels fouling on the wheel arches.

I am an idiot. I was wondering when the track debris would happen, and today I read the small patch note for December 25th which says...
    • Restarting in a Time Attack session now also cleans the tarmac of any residues from previous laps
That sent me down the rabbit hole of patch notes I didn't fully read, just to see when track debris happened. LOL Good lord I am dense.

Edit: I just got finished running at Monza and purposefully taking some off-track excursions. I did see tire tracks in the gravel and grass but didn't notice anything on the track. But where I did re-enter the track, I heard gravel being tossed around under the tires. Perhaps there's a setting I need to adjust. Still, it's interesting. If nothing else, the physics are there and properly working, I just have it switched off somewhere.

I played around with it and you can definitely see gravel on the track when you're leaving a gravel trap like the one at the end of Ascari. You can also make the spilled gravel disappear again by driving over it a second time resulting in your tires getting dirty.

The effect also exists for grass, but it's very subtle there.

I plan on looking a lot closer today. Last night I was hoping to see the gravel on track while at racing speeds.

Reporting a very minor visual issue, there's seems to be some flickering or z-fight issue with the Audi A4 rear lights when they are On (but not while braking on the same housing). Can be noticed (of course) in conditions when cars run with lights on, such as sunset, and then mostly when following an AI car up close (main LOD, probably).

Appears while racing vs AI on Imola and Nurb GP (didn't check more tracks), just in case it's an issue depending on track origin distance.

    (This is both on native dx9 or dvxk, w/ 6700XT + 24.12.1)

Finally got this pack. It's quite great, but I wish the Jaccs livery for the Accord was included.

Edit: Just realised that it's a different model that had that Jaccs livery. Never mind then!

Well, at least the existing Castrol and Kool liveries came from the same JTCC 5th gen Accord (JDM/US/Asia-Pacific model) in the image above, not the facelifted 5th gen EU Accord (&Rover 600) depicted ingame.

Any estimate of when more cars/liveries will arrive? In terms of recreating real grids it's very limited at the moment. I mean, the ability to fill a '96, '97 or '98 STW grid would be nice at least.

I love the Super Touring Cars. I loved it on TV and visitor at track. I hope we get the Peugeot 406, Ford Mondeo, Nissan Primera and Renault Laguna as well. A complete field of this time would be phenominal.

A couple of the more unusual British tracks would be nice: Croft and Thruxton.

If no one ever mentioned this detail, would you please consider adding a few polys to smooth the corners of the central vent cover in the Accord?
Given these cars are recent releases, there should still some margin for a few more triangles that won't harm performance, so these details look less out of an early 2010's tris budget. Even on a relatively wide 40º vFov these are pretty noticeable, specially with sun from the rear:

    Thanks!

Speaking of the Accord, kinda wish they would have gone for the 1999 version :p

This was mentioned in a RD thread, but I'll report it here also:
There's a small modeling issue with the Laguna's rear. It seems you've depicted a 98' works facelift car, given the store even mentions 98' (I'm not really versed in Lagunas, mind you), with the expected later bulging rear light lenses profile, orange row at top, and thicker black frame over them (as oposed to flatter lenses, grey upper row, thinner frame at top, from the earlier model). Don't mind the 97' livery on the screenshot, that would be seen IRL in the older rear.
But the black center piece/frame in the rear from lights to the rear plate is modeled to the pre-facelift shape instead of matching later details around it. These parts aren't interchangeable (as they frame lights with a different shape), so it wouldn't be possible for a real car to look as ingame using production parts:

    Clipboard_10-05-2025_01.jpg
    1) Pre-facelift sections in yellow

    97.jpg 98.jpg
    2) Up to 97' Pre-facelift rear, matching R3E model detail; 3) Facelift rear, mismatching R3E model detail

    98btcc.jpg
    4) 98' Facelift rear racecar example, mismatching R3E detail

And yet, there's something else that doesn't add up to a 98' facelift car with later rear lights. (Again, I don't know Lagunas well, so there could be more obvious pre/post facelift differences I'm missing).
The whole front bumper/lip seen in R3E looks out of an earlier 94-97' pre-facelift works race car. The later >98' had round fog light covers separated from the lower grill, matching the redesigned production car's bumper lights detail:

    bannerR3E.jpg
    5) Pre-facelift bumper in R3E, despite "98" in store + facelift rear lights (bulging, orange row, see above)

    97r.jpg 98r.jpg
    6) Pre-facelift 94-97' bumper, matching R3E; 7) >98' facelift bumper (there are slight variants on this shape, open/closed vents, lip)

It's not about particular liveries in a wrong year's car, but this mismatch of pre/post facelift features present in the current model you wouldn't find IRL. IMHO, better matching either old/97' or 98' works model would be preferable, rather than mixing their front/rear.
So yeah, if quicker than redoing the front, maybe just remodel rear lights/frame pairing fully to old spec, so it's all-round truer to a 97' model running on 98' physics? :D

    Thanks for having a look

Edit: added old front bumper vs later rear lights depicted ingame

Will this pack come back to the store? I don't want to buy each of these cars individually

Thanks for having improved this small detail on today's patch, even if any changes in that area are surely a pain due to normals/smoothing.:)

When did the additional 1999 STW livery get added for the Audi? I just noticed it and was very surprised!

Hopefully more will be added for other cars as well.

There are other issues with the Laguna also. The wheel arches for example, which looks too big, like something in between the '98 and '99 model.

I don't know if anyone but me cares, but there are some small details that bugs me about the BMW as well. The model itself looks very good I think, but there are some things that look off. The stance is a bit weird for example. All BMW Super Tourers I've seen has a slight forward rake but the one in R3E is level. It doesn't help that the front bumper/spoiler is slightly out of proportion and should be extended vertically. Then there's all the trim around the windows which is painted for some reason, when it should be black rubber/plastic.

I had nothing to do so I played a little in MS Paint, made black trim and slightly extended the front bumper.
    20251103214407_1.jpg Cecotto.jpg

Edit: Oops, turns out the trim is in fact black on some liveries. Weird. My point still stands about the stance and front bumper, though.
