Congrats on the new content, Studio387. Happy to spend some discounted vRPs to top off my R3E content level back to 100%. As someone who attended the 1991 British GP, I look forward to racing the 964 Carrera Cup at Silverstone Classic (at some point, after getting my fill of the Super Tourers) to reenact some of the memorable F1 support races there.

Coming off the free content period I did some practice runs with 11 opponents on different circuits and cars, never noted any performance issues. I bought the Supertourers and the Silverstone classic tonight and hopped into practice with 11 opponents and the FPS was chugging hard. Even in the menus the FPS seemed really unstable. Am I missing something?

I just had a little touch with the ST so far. I drove the Audi and BMW each around 30min. Great those differences in handling. A bit quicker and more agile than what I was expecting. Very cool stuff.

Most of those combos are now locked sadly as I used it during the free period. I did bring the STW's to other circuits though and it seemed a little bit better. Could it potentially be the new Silverstone acting up FPS wise?

For the braking, I have done more testing today in the first downhill corner in Nurburgring.
Only BMW E36 won't lock up in 100% braking in default setting, unless brake bias is set to very front biased
On contrast, WTCC BMW E90 does lock up for 100% braking.
I think this might be an issue as I have seen BMW E36 does lock up brakes occasionally

All other Super touring cars can lock up the brakes

    in this era , bmw raced the rulebook as such , and set a system up called pendulum braking ;

    https://www.thedrive.com/news/how-bmws-genius-pendulum-brake-system-beat-an-abs-ban-in-racing

    this makes it a lot harder to get front locking ;
if you go hard at it and run some telemetry you can see you do get lock ups , just not major ones

Seems so, notice FPS drops around Luffield, Woodcote and Copse too

Apart from that : What a blast to race this beautiful machines again - after almost 30 Years on a PS1 and a controller.
While I actually lost my touch with FWD cars (I also didn't like the WTC's that much so far) I had zero issues to come to terms with my S40 again.

Thx a lot KW Studios

Don't have the new tracks (yet), but I did notice that the frame rate at Monza is rather terrible now.
I tried a couple of other circuits like Spa, Donington and Spielberg and didn't see anything out of the ordinary in terms of FPS (between 70 and 110 usually), but Monza produced frame rates between 35 and 60 with 200% auto-exposure and only a bit more with that feature turned off.

dvxk ? auto exposure and sharpening are framerate killers, I have both at 0.

    Interesting, thanks!

I did notice there was an electronics tab with ABS in the setup for the BMW, don't think you could change anything though.

I will critic the Super Touring cars :
    - no good suspension feel, or no feel at all
    - no good tyre feel
    - no weight car feel
My opinion. DTM24/DTM95 have the suspension, weight and tyre feel. I have hoped similar FFB feeling.

Are you sure to have put V5 tyre and v4 suspension ? the suspensions look like the KTM xbow with v0, but worst with the tyre.

It's one of my favorite class, I enjoy it, can't wait to see if it could be improved.
Thanks any way for this class, it's a very great addition !

    Welcome to Raceroom, TeddyBearX

I guess your force feedback settings might need to improve, especially your FFB magnification in car setup. My wheel is a G27 and it is set between 2 to 3. I also turn the dampening off in the driver setting..You can also turn on the FFB meter during the process

I am having the opposite feeling compared to yours, let me give you some confidence

Raceroom is owned by KW, they have used data from KW to simulate suspension. For the tyres, they are using real tyre data from Falken, Physics wise, it is the best in the market, whereas other sims are still struggling with physics.

The FFB is also physics based, not based on canned effect across all cars

The kerb behavior in the suspension of this super touring to me is correctly modelled..
It is also the era where the chassis is part of the suspension because it is not that rigid. I have compared WTCR and WTCC 2013 and I can feel the difference already. The supertouring is more "lazy" in suspension (more time to absorb the bump)

I also own DTM24, these car have a lot of aero, so I don't think it it useful to reference.
I did not drive much about DTM95, but I have driven the Group A E30, the super touring does feel right to me..

For the weight, I gave driven very light car in Raceroom, to 11ton heavy truck, the weight is definitely there..

They even do drifting in next year, without correct tyre model, no way they can do drifting, this is how advanced they are with their physics

My only complain about Supertoruning is the 16 steering angle which is marginally enough to turn the hairpin corner in Macau

There was another update today, maybe they fixed it:

I also think that the Silverstone circuit (in some corners) needs fps optimization (I also have issues with that). Hope KW will fix it!

I'd love to have Stone classic with the fast lefthander before running under the bridge back to the start and finish line.

Thank you, I will enjoy the Super Touring like they are, I have just the feeling I feel less the suspension and tyres vs a DTM24 or DTM95, or my champion car for the suspensions is the BMW M2 CS. Or I juggle too much with different games.

The little bit liveless feeling was with the Audi awd, with the S40 I have all the feeling I was expecting, my favorite car in this class ! So great, like the real one !

There is issue in S40, the windshield has flickering on left/right part, like if the texture was not well placed.
very visible at nord24 afternoon start
