You seem to be right, I tried to replicate it myself and everything worked normally this time. I guess it was a one off issue, sorry to have wasted your time, but thanks for taking the time to look into it.
thanks for checking, i had few folks reporting something similar and everytime it was one time issue, rly strange
seeing as you cant seem to control yourself and said you were not notified for your ranked server ban ; i will publicly warn you here ; so please stop posting in this thread or i will be forced to take action Andi
Yes, in the december update all cars got V5 tyres. From 18th december changelog: "Tyre model - applied to all cars. All leaderboards are wiped clean in this update. Note: Default car setups have been adapted to the new tyres for most car classes, however this work is still in progress and we will continue updating with small adjustments as we go along. Note (2): A.I. has to learn to handle the new tyre and this learning process is still in progress for some car classes, it will be improved in future hotfix updates."
Don't know where to post it, but I think it might fit in this thread. J-F posted on Discord that the visuals update is expected, for now, in late August - early September. Keep in mind though that it's not a "DirectX update" people expect, it's only what the devs could do now, without reworking the graphics engine.
Took me a while to get used to (after so many years on default ones) but now I really love it, handling is still ummatched to nearly all other sims I tried....
i might have misunderstood, that post reads "shader updates", so no useful updates to the engine, if you felt like editting shader settings in somthing like reshade you could achieve the same? -or- is this a new layer like what LMU did with YEBIS over the RF2 engine?
No. ReShade is just post-processing. You can obviously achieve a lot more by changing the shaders themselves.
While it's not the DirectX upgrade, we have still done quite a bit of engine work. So it is far more than just some shader tweaks!
