" Reduced bigly the probability of stress induced mistakes by AI’s " Hell, yes! Why should I be the only one suffering with Pooped The Start Disorder. But more seriously, I love the idea that following a car closely is doing more than keeping me in his dirty air. The behind the scenes "big brother" data collection for MP is also nice to (not) see.
does it mean that when it starts properly we will already have a base level based on the data gathering ??
Already set up a server called "US-Tour with the FR US" .. FR US with the 3 american tracks, 4x tire wear, 4x fuel usage, mandatory pitstop, P20/Q10/R15 Have fun.
For now the FR US is the only car to have a livery pack, but we will add livery packs for all other cars as well as soon as possible.
First attempt in the FR US was damned fun, backside was more squirly then I had anticipated, will take some time to get truly comfortable in (in a good way). It did bring up a thing I've been wondering about before but never articulated though, any way to set the in game wheel to fixed like some other sims for the info/revs? Nothing major but would be cool as I do find the ingame wheels somewhat distracting, though more and more of them contain relevant information. Especially now that we're getting new data displays.
Just did a lap on Zandvoort in leaderbord. It's so nice to see yourself on number 1 (and only ). Let me enjoy it while it last. Probably not that long... Car feels.... Fast. And the power in first gear and almost max revs. Try to keep that straight... And Zandvoort feels, just a little different but so much nicer! Love it!
I think there's something wrong with the FFB with the T300. There's a constant low intensity rumble with the RR US like I'm scraping the bottom across the track. Not unlike the sensation of pCARS when the FFB bugged out at times. This low intensity rumble is not there with other cars, so far I've tried Laguna Seca and Mid Ohio, Mid Ohio making the sensation worse. Will try it out some more and report back. Adjusting ride height does not seem to fix it. Edit: Nor does the engine rumble effect.
You might be right, the engine rumble does make it worse. But even with it turned off it still "feels" like it's bottoming out very very often. Will continue to see if I can pinpoint it.
Maxing out the ride height and disabling the engine vibrations in the FFB reduce the sensation, but I think it was just overlap. I notice during parts of the circuits I will get tiny tiny ups and downs on the FFB meter though it does not seem to be tied to the cars revs as it happens mid gear and towards the end of one. Though tiny on the FFB meter it makes the whole wheel feel grainy, where as hitting a curb will register a larger spike on the curve yet still feel like the FFB delivery is smooth. At no point during my test am I clipping the FFB, not even coming close to the red line during kerbs etc. Will try Zandvoort as well, that track was silky smooth with the DTMs. Edit: Zandvoort was smoother but it was still there, but I found the culpit. Force Feedback Minumum Force was causing the wheel to go a bit bananas. Setting it to zero the FFB behaves as great as I'm used to with R3E. Carry on, sorry for the false alarm.
