I just did a Gr.5 race at Mid Ohio and a dev guy enters and I see a Chevy Monza in my rear view mirrors in the pits for a few seconds then he leaves the session as fast as he entered! How teasing isn't that!
Careful readers might have spotted it already here and there, but now it´s time to officially reveal the: Chevrolet "Greenwood" Corvette aka the "Batmobile" Started by brothers John and Burt Greenwood, "Greenwood Corvettes" specialized in tuning and racing Corvette sportscars in the IMSA GT Series during the 70´s. Greenwood’s thoughtfully designed fiberglass bodies took advantage of almost every horizontal surface to improve downforce, allowing their huge V-8 engines to transmit as much power to the track as possible. Awesome, look forward to seeing this one in a few liveries and hearing the audio for it. I'm curious as to whether that version is a real livery? I've seen 'spirit of' ones for '75 and '76, never seen a '78 one or is it a semi-ficticious update to match the model.
awesome drives me crasy cant wait for the Group 5 cars. Hoping the more DRM G5 cars from german series
Can't wait to see and hear it "live" Awesome car. Thing that makes me worry a bit is there is only one post reserve left and my favourite car is still missing...
Jukka i suggest the car in your Avatar . They can make it very easily . It was in Race07 as IMSA version
Yes, csl, and they could do it for sure (not sure how "easily" tought ), but i'm not holding my breath as it seems next and last Gr5 car will be Silvia...
I think there is no "last" car. They can always add new cars (and licensing seems easy with BMW). I think the reason they gonna release more cars soon for Gr5 is because there are only 2 atm.
Some epic racing these group-5 cars will give us! Already looking forward to the moment of release.. Cars look stunning!
With that many horsepower and that much excitement i guess for the first couple of days thats gonna be "Dirt track racing experience"
Nah, Sebring is too flat! I would setle with Road America, Road Atlanta, Lime Rock Park, Barber Motorsports Park, VIR and Circuit of The Americas!.
There's a reason there's no "Spirit of COTA" Corvette. It's because it has no soul. Really looking forward to some audio previews for these cars, if the current stock are anything to go by a field of these is going to sound insane.
